My Mad Fat Diary is a British comedy-drama, based in the 1990's, that debuted in January 2013 on England's popular television network, E4. The show was on air for three seasons before broadcasting its final episode in July 2015. It can now be found on streaming websites and YouTube. My Mad Fat Diary focuses on the life of 16-year-old Rae Earl who had a lengthy stay at a psychiatric hospital for mental health and self-harming issues. When she is released from the hospital, she faces a multitude of problems with her mother, reconnecting with her best friend Chloe, fitting in with a new group of friends and finding love. The executive producers for the series are Roanna Benn, Jude Liknaitzky, Will Gould and Greg Brenman.
