The Fall is an Irish and BBC crime Netflix series set in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The fall is based on a senior investigative officer "Stella Gibson" who is tasked with looking over a specific case, accompanied by the Northern Ireland Police Force. The two forces review the growing number of murders in the area, showing that they have been open for more than 28 days. It becomes apparent that there is a serial killer linking all the murders of successful, young women in and around Belfast. It soon becomes a cat and mouse game between the murder' "Paul Spector" and the investigator "Stella Gibson." In the United states the show is shown as a Netflix original series, while in Canada the show is debuted on Bravo, and on Cinemax in Hungary. Produced by Allan Cubitt, the show has funding from The European Regional Development Fund and Northern Ireland Screen.
