Co-created and produced by Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, Avatar: The Last Airbender tells the story of a young boy named Aang, as he and his friends embark on a journey to defeat Fire Lord Ozai and end the oppression of the Fire Nation. Inspired by East and Southeast Asian culture, the show blends Japanese anime with western style cartoons which results in beautiful animation and rich storytelling. The Emmy Award winning-series is known for its great amount of humor, visuals, and heart and is a story that still holds up today since its 2005 release.
