Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a Netflix comedy about four women, Kimmy Schmidt, Cyndee Pokorny, Gretchen Chalker and Donna Maria Nuñez, who are persuaded to be part of a doomsday cult by a reverend, Richard Wayne Gary Wayne. The women spend a long period of time living underground because they believe that the world has ended and think the only way to survive is to stay in a bunker. Then one day they get rescued and Kimmy Schmidt, the star of the show, along with the other women have to adjust to living a normal life again. They have to face the changes that have taken place since they were captivated, as well as overcome the publicity they gain from their trial against Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne for lying to them. However, most of the series focuses on Kimmy Schmidt and her adventurous journey of adapting to her surroundings.
The executive producers are Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, Jeff Richmond, David Miner and Jerry Kupfer. The writers of the series however were only Tina Fey and Robert Carlock.
