The Originals on The CW. The Originals is a spin-off series originating from The Vampire Diaries. This television show is about a family (The Originals) of power-hungry thousand year old vampires, the first of their kind. The main protagonist (and sometimes antagonist) is Niklaus Mikaelsson (Klaus), the original vampire/werewolf hybrid. Upon his return to New Orleans he investigates rumors of a plot against him, attempts to take back the city his family helped build, and dominate all those who have done them wrong.The show premiered on October 3, 2013, and is currently in the middle of Season 3.
* Gina Girolamo and Leslie Morgenstein are the executive producers. Morgenstein also is currently the executive producer of the hit ABC Family series "Pretty Little Liars". The show is funded by The CW, which is an advertiser-based network (broadcast).
