Flanagan, JP (TTh) Ink Master 50
Ink Master is a reality Tv show that features a few artists from across the country competing for the title "Ink Master" and a chance to win $100,000. The show is hosted by Dave Navaro a well-known guitarist and songwriter who is also a tattoo enthusiast. The show consists of the contestants competing in numerous challenges that are mainly tattoo based but can sometimes include other forms of art like graffiti and painting. Each episode brings its own unique challenges and creates a lot of drama between contestants as they are competing for a grand prize. I personally became fond of the show just because it is cool to see the work that goes into creating tattoos with even higher stakes. The contestants are judged by a group of accredited tattoo artists and the people who received the tattoo It can also be very informative as it teaches about the history of tattoos and different styles and creativity. The older episodes of the show are currently available to watch on Netflix and the new season is strictly on paramount.

Wife Swap is a reality tv series on the ABC network that aired in 2004 to 2010. Every episode there are two new families brought on the show to do the swap. From very different families with different lifestyles a wife/mother is taken from their family and is to swap lives with the other and be the new stand in wife of the opposite family for two weeks. During the first week the wives must follow the instructions left by the actual wife, thus seeing how they run their home. The following week they are then allowed to make their own rules and the family must abide. After the two weeks are over they return to their actual families and the wives meet and share their experiences and what they learned from each other's living situation which could be a good thing or a bad thing that may result in changes in their homes.

The comedy series Kath and Kim follows a mother and daughter in Fountain Lakes, a fictional outlying suburb based in Australia. Kath Day, is enjoying her new relationship with gourmet sausage maker .After problems in her marriage to Brett Craig , a computer salesman at Fountain Gate, Kath and Kim's favorite local shopping complex, her lazy, self-centered daughter Kim, moves back home. Another frequent visitor to Kath's house is Sharon Strezlecki , Kim's second-best friend who suffers from allergies and enjoys sports. Through four series of eight half-hour episodes, Kath and Kim follows this quartet's mishaps.

Young Royals is a show based in Sweden where the characters go to an expensive private school (private schools are not common in Northern Europe). The students at the school are mostly from either a noble family or the Swedish royal family. The main character, the Swedish prince, starts at the school and faces struggles like self-identity, mourning, alcohol and drug use, and overwhelming fame. As the prince goes along with his studies his responsibilities at the royal palace grow and so does his fame. He is unable to hide anything from the public and keeps facing scandals. This is a great show for anyone who enjoys a little bit of drama, but also love and relationships. It is very interesting with the Swedish royal family and how they handle fame.

Anderson, Leyla (TTh) The Worst Year of my Life, Again 50
The show The Worst Year of my Life, Again is an Australian TV show that lasted only one season. It is a comedy about a teenage boy. As a teenager, sometimes every other year feels like the worst year ever. For Alex King, he is forced to relive the worst year of his life over and he is determined to try to make it better. Between being bullied and rejected by girls, everything that can go wrong, does go wrong. With the help of his best friend, they attempt to turn the worst year ever into his best one yet. The main cast of characters are King and other teens who attend his small, private school. His family also makes appearances as his house tends to be a common space the show takes place at.
Gray, Cassie (TTh) Escaping Polygamy 50
Escaping Polygamy is one of my favorite documentary/ reality TV series. It has 4 seasons and follows the religion known as polygamy and one of its biggest groups better known as "The Order" or the Kingston's. Polygamy is a plural marriage based on the premise that to get into the highest level of heaven, you must participate in plural marriage. This is basically one man with one legal wife and several "spiritual wives", being that actual plural marriage is illegal. The show follows a few prominent personalities, Jessica, Shanell, and Andrea. These women, as well as a few others, featured in other episodes, all escaped polygamy themselves at some point in their lives and have made a pact to help others who want to escape. These girls shine a light on a "religion" that actually checks enough boxes to be classified as a cult. These women show the truth behind this secretive religion and the brainwashing, neglect, and abuse that it actually thrives on. If you are a fan of documentaries, this is a great option. Not only do you get to see the experience of victims escaping, but you see them adjust to the real world, and hear their stories of what they experienced. This show is available on HULU, the Roku Channel, Pluto TV, and Lifetime.
Gamez, John (TTh) Chillin' Island 50
Chillin Island is a documentary/interview type of show that stars four New Yorkers who invite music artists to an overnight camping trip to reconnect with nature. They start in the morning and do outdoor activities like swimming, surfing, hiking all while talking to the music artist. By nighttime, the viewer usually gets a more inside look of these celebrity's lives, thoughts and personal stories. It's different in a way that puts these artists in adrenalized or anxious states that give a more candid and real response to the conversation about who they are or how they came to be. Invited guests include Ezra Koenig, Young Thug and Rosalia. The target audience would be the fans of these rappers or music artists, whether that be teens or young adults. It is on HBO Max and runs for one season, but hopefully gets renewed.
La Mothe, Brittyne (TTh) Rhythm and Flow 50
Rhythm and Flow is Netflix's first and original reality music competition released in 2019. Hip-hop stars Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and T.I are the judges that hop from their hometowns to try and find the next big thing in and for hip hop. The judges assess and grade unsigned and/or underground rappers competing for a $250,000 prize and a recording contract in this series. Other famous artists, producers, mentors in the music industry join the judges to provide the contestants with additional critique and insight.
Langston Michael'a (TTh) Distant Lands 50
Adventure Time: Distant Lands is an American animated miniseries based on the 2010-2018 animated series Adventure Time. This show takes us back to the land of Ooo and in each episode follows old and new characters. Viewers get a new look at the world they loved so much in the original series Adventure Time. Distant Lands is great for Adventure Time fans or people deciding if they want to watch Adventure Time as it gives origins to some characters and finales for others. Each of the four episodes are completely different but all of them are full of fun, action, adventure, and that good ole Adventure time oddness.
Tankersley, Josh (TTh) Living With Yourself 50
Living with Yourself tells an interesting story. It is about a guy who struggles with his at home life and work life. He meets a friend that sends him to a massage place that makes everyone their best selves. But he did not know he was actually getting cloned to be the perfect self. But something goes wrong after the clone is made and his real self comes back to life. So, there is the real Miles Elliot and the clone Miles. They eventually meet and are very shocked and try and find out a way to both live their life together. Because the clone is better than the real Miles at everything. But that ends up making the real Miles mad so he tries to get rid of him. After all that they end up finding out some news that leaves you on a huge cliff hanger at the end of season 1! The show aired in 2019 and is expected another season, it is by Paul Rudd and he is also the main character.

Neds Declassified school survival guide is a Nickelodeon young teen and children show that showcases the protagonist (Ned) on his adventures through school. The premise of the show revolves around his "survival guide" where he writes down quirky lessons and tips to survival school. Throughout the show we meet several goofy characters that are involved with Ned such as the classic nerd character, and the girl he's trying to get. This show aired in 2004 and would fall under the sitcom category as there were rarely established acting scenarios and more of witty fun situations for the characters to figure out.

Maybrier, Austin (MW) Trigun 50
Trigun tells the story of the legendary outlaw Vash the stampede. Vash has the biggest bounty in the word of Trigun, but we soon find out that this is not because he is a morally corrupt man who is taking advantage of the lawless land but rather for the unfortunate circumstances he gets into. He causes destruction everywhere he goes and even is responsible for the disappearance of an entire town. This destruction is almost never of his own doing but rather is a result of the bounty hunters coming to take claim to his head. Vash in fact is an outright pacifist refusing to ever enact harm on anyone. This among other things can often lead to him getting hurt but he would rather himself be gravely wounded than anyone else even receive a scratch.

Oddballs is an animated series on Netflix by the creator Robert James Rallison, also known as theodd1sout on YouTube and co-creator Ethan Banville. The series follows James, a white blob-like person along with (most of the time) his best friend crocodile named Max, which ends up in many misadventures based on James' questions about social norms and everyday inconveniences that often result in disaster. James has always been the odd one out, but not anymore.
Lugo, Dezi (MW) Maggie 50
Maggie is a new series only available on Hulu. It's a comedy show with sci-fi themes created by Justin Adler and Maggie Mull, starring Rebecca Rittenhouse. This series follows a psychic by the name of Maggie who holds the future in her hands… so she thinks. Maggie can see the future and one day she sees her own. Maggie first sees her own future in the show when she sees herself getting married and living a whole life with a stranger she's just meeting, so she gives him a chance excitedly. Once Maggie starts to believe this could be the one, she gets the same vision, only this time it reveals another woman in the visions, which Maggie takes as her sign to end things now before she gets hurt. She can see the future, so she can't be wrong, right? Except Maggie is indeed wrong and as the episodes go on, visions are revealed and come to life in the show, only showing that Maggie is misreading the messages she's receiving. So, while Maggie thinks the answers are in her visions, they're only pushing her further away from them! "While she can see the future, her present is a mess!"

The Resort is an 8-episode miniseries on Peacock. It's about a couple, Emma (Christin Milioti) and Noah (William Jackson Harper), who go on vacation for their anniversary and to rekindle their dying marriage. While on a quad bike jungle tour, Emma crashes and finds a phone on the ground. Through the phone, she and Noah have uncovered an unsolved mystery about two missing kids and all the evidence was erased by a hurricane.

Grand Army is an American teen drama series on Netflix that stars Odessa A'Zion and David Lacono. This show follows five different students that attend Grand Army High School in New York City. It shares the many stories of each student and their struggles relating to racism, poverty, sexual assault, and identities. It sheds light on modern issues that teenagers can relate to today. There is one season out of Grand Army and is streaming on Netflix with subscription.

Allison then awakens to discover her new ability to see the spirits that possess her home. Ghosts just released the fourth season in September and it's currently available to stream on HBO Max.

Welcome to Eden is a sci-fi drama that takes place on a remote island, streaming on Netflix. Hundreds of young adults are invited to an island party that is promoted to be a festival of a lifetime but ends up being a journey into a cult. Members are made to sign a contract that states you can't bring any cellular devices or people. The main character Zoa, sneaks her friend in, later to face the consequences. Upon arrival, the hosts announce this Eden festival is organized to launch a new drink, the Blue Eden. Everyone is given a wristband but only 5 people's wristbands will light up deciding if you get to try the new drink. However, this drink led those five people, Zoa, Aldo, Africa, Charly, and Ibon to hallucinate. When they woke up, they had zero recollection of what happened and everyone was missing except those who drank the Blue Eden drink. Led by drone, they are led to the Eden foundation civilization, not knowing they will eventually end up fighting for their lives to escape the cult.

Our Father is about a Gynecologist named Donald Cline who was artificially inseminating women in the city of Indianapolis. The women who saw Dr. Cline found out that the sperm that they thought they were being inseminated with was from a donor or a desired father when in reality Cline was using his own semen. There is around 90 children that he has and they all live around the city of Indianapolis to this day and are still trying to fight Cline for what he did to the families he affected. Nana is an anime that stars two completely opposite characters with the same name, Nana Ôsaki and Nana Komatsu. Nana Ôsaki was in an alternate rock band, she dresses on the edger side and seems rather lonely. While Nana Komatsu can be seen as a bright bundle of joy with an obsession with having a partner. The anime was created in 2006 and is now available on Hulu. Throughout the series their friendship begins to blossom, and they grow really close for their fondness for one another. While navigating their new life together, Nana Komatsu tries to learn more about the other Nana since she's really closed off. With the new information coming out, their friendship faces a lot of new challenges, and some become harder to overcome than others.
O'Hara, Madison (MW) Clarice 50
Clarice is a spin-off drama series of the 1991 film, Silence of the Lambs that was released in 2021. The show is set a year after Silence of the Lambs and follows FBI agent Clarice Sterling in the aftermath of her interactions with Hannibal Lector and the investigation of Buffalo Bill. It explores Clarice's PTSD, her life before Silence of the Lambs, and her new reputation as a serial killer hunter. Each episode focuses on serial killer cases investigated by the FBI and Clarice's struggle to find a new normal and her place within a special unit at the FBI. The show only has one season and while it originally aired on CBS, it can now be found on Pluto TV.

Imagine being able to learn and experience history firsthand with the power of television. Learning history while being entertained? Sound too good to be true! From the Roman era to the American Civil War, Voyagers is a TV show that takes the viewer through historical events and is jam-packed with action and adventure! The show involves Phineas Bogg, a Voyager who is tasked with correcting history, and Jeffery Jones, a young history buff who happens to know more about history than his Voyager companion. The pair travel throughout history with the help of a device called the Omni where they will get the chance to explore many historical events. This Toronto-based show was created in 2017 but was based off a web series made by the same show creators Matt Johnson and Jay McCarrol. They are best friends who get into a number of schemes in the hopes of getting their band booked to play a show at the Rivoli. The duo goes to extreme lengths in order to land the gig with thousands of extras who are unaware they're on a TV show. There are a total of 3 seasons. You can watch season 1 on Viceland and rent the rest on Prime.
Kirkley, Jillian (TTh) My Babysitter's a Vampire 50
The Disney Channel original series succeeds a Halloween special movie of the same name in which two best friends discover their babysitter is a vampire. The show follows Ethan (Matthew Knight), Benny (Atticus Mitchell), and their friends as they continue to navigate high school while tackling the newfound world of magic, vampires, and much more. My Babysitter's a Vampire brings lighthearted comedy and high school drama to the supernatural trope everyone enjoys during the Halloween season. The series is currently on Netflix and the Roku Channel.

Fairfax is an American adult animated comedy focusing on four middle school best friends, Truman, Benny, Derica, and Dale, who embark on a never-ending quest for popularity on Fairfax Avenue. Taking place off of the street in the Los Angeles area, it is a modern look at the timeless struggle to be cooler than you really are, this is really driven home with the number of times "hypebeast" culture plays a huge role in the series. Two popular actors that you will recognize are J.B. Smoove and John Leguizamo who play a pair of pigeons that interject for sarcastic comments and things of that nature.

Green, Cameron (TTh) Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous 50
The sitcom premiered on MTV in 2013 and was created by and stars comedian Bo Burnham. The show follows Zach who just finished high school and decided not to go to college like the rest of his peers to but instead pursued his chances at stardom. He hires a film crew to document his everyday life as he attempts to become a TV chef, and a recording artist, among other occupations all in hopes to become an overnight sensation. Even going as far as purposefully going missing. The audience watches Zach's efforts of fame cause him embarrassment and hurt his relationship with friends and family. The series is currently on Netflix.
Baxter, Fai (TTh) Undone 50
Undone is an animated tv show that follows a woman named Alma who, following a tragic car accident, begins to travel through time and space. She begins in a time loop, but thanks to the help of an unexpected guide, she begins to develop the ability to jump between dimensions and potentially alter her reality. The animation of this show is dreamy and imaginative and incorporates the use of both CGI motion capture and rotoscoping. The show currently consists of two seasons and the dialogue of the second season is delivered almost equally in English and Spanish. Undone brings up questions about family, sacrifice, reality, and the unknown, and leaves the audience with much to contemplate.

This show has drama, sports, and a biography that will shock basketball fans around the world.

Under the Banner of Heaven is a new true crime FX miniseries created by Dustin Lance Black that's based on a book written by Jon Krakauer. It stars Andrew Garfield and Gil Birmingham as two detectives investigating a brutal double murder of a young woman and her baby in Utah. As the detectives continue their investigation, strange connections to Mormonism cause Garfield's character to question his Mormon faith and deep secrets about their community are revealed in the quest for the truth. The star-studded cast also includes Daisy Edgar Jones, Sam Worthington, Wyatt Russell, and Rory Culkin. Since it's a miniseries there's only seven episodes, and you can stream it all now on Hulu!

Little Demon is a new Hulu Original series starring Danny Devito and his daughter Lucy Devito. The show is aimed at an adult audience as it revolves around a young mother and her daughter, who happens to be the Antichrist! Audrey Plaza - Parks, and Recreation - also stars, voicing Wiccan mother, Laura Fienberg. Laura spends most of her time slaying demons, salting doorways, and sacrificing goats to protect Christina (Lucy Devito) from her crazy father, Satan! The show is a wonderfully whacky coming-of-age story, with sweet moments between mother and daughter, and bloody murders between father and daughter, all in the name of love. This show will make you laugh, cry, and scream, my favorite trio! I can't wait for more episodes, every Friday night at 10 pm ET/PT.

Darkplace is a British sitcom parodying the horror genre which follows the fictional writer, Garth Marenghi. Garth, along with the remaining cast, is being interviewed throughout the show about their experiences making the fictional Television series Darkplace. The show intentionally uses poor production in numerous ways for its iconic comedy. Often cutting to very obvious voice-overs and blatant continuity errors for its punchlines, the show offers a unique viewing experience I haven't found anywhere else. It only lasted for one season in 2006 and can be viewed in its entirety for free on YouTube.
Garza, Carolina (MW) Hollywood 10
The miniseries Hollywood follows a group of aspiring actors, film writers, film directors, and studio owners who are chasing their dreams to make it big during the Golden Age in the post-World War II era. This group is so dedicated to achieve their goals that they would do anything even if it means continuously cheating on your significant other to earn some extra money at a full-service gas station. The show does a fantastic job representing how Hollywood was back in the day and covers how homosexuality and racism was viewed during this era and the challenges that actors back then most likely went through while they chased their dreams. It's a show full of color, character, drama, love, and inspiration and I think it's worth watching.

On one hand you are introduced to a married couple of twelve years who's obviously pass the honeymoon stage, while on the other hand you have a younger, more modern, couple who quickly got engaged not long after meeting and is trying to learn everything on the fly. The two couples different takes on marriage intertwining with each other can be complicated enough but, you have the third take still. David Spade plays the role of the older bachelor who doesn't seem to want to grow up and definitely puts his 2 cents in all the "marriage" and dating matters.

He gets special permission from the mayor to shadow her while she's on the job so that he can write his new book series. Castle and Beckett's characters are pretty much total opposites, so they oftentimes clash, but because of Castle's knowledge of murder and death from his research, he proves to be helpful to Beckett and her team. The series focuses on the many messed up cases they have to solve and the budding romance between the two.

With beautiful visuals, genuinely great storytelling, and themes of religion throughout. It is a very easy watch and you will literally only be positively impacted by watching it vs before having not seen it.

Haikyuu!! is an anime which follows a high school volleyball team: particularly the main character, Shoyo Hinata. Being only 5'4 in height, Hinata is not a typical volleyball player. Despite having very minimal experience in the sport, he enrolls at Karasuno High School to follow in the footsteps of his biggest inspiration, The Tiny Giant. Karasuno's volleyball club has fallen off since the era of The Tiny Giant. They have gained the nickname "The Wingless Crows" in reference to their mascot. As we watch the team's journey to regain their former reputation as national contenders, we fall in love with each member of the team and dive into their backstories. Including Tobio Kageyama, who (despite initially hating Hinata), becomes a key part to Hinata's success on the court. This underdog story brings an unmatchable energy and passion to the sport of volleyball and the players who fight for their spot on the court.

As the new head of house, Nathan is tasked with caring for the people within the community who are plagued by phenomena that could be of the mind or supernatural. This show is full of amazing cinematography, phenomenal acting, and one of the most mind-blowing twists I've ever seen in a TV show. Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness discusses in-depth questions about things he is curious about. Each episode introduces a new topic where he talks to experts in that specific field. The topics range from information about bugs all the way to why hair is so important to people. This show is light-hearted as well as inspiring and moving. It also takes a modern twist on how to be more supportive of trans and non-binary individuals. This series does a great job of being informative about gender nonconforming people, which I think is unique because it is not often the host of a show is non-binary. Jeen-yuhs is a documentary shot by Coodie, who came to be one of Kanye's closest friends. This project shows their relationship of over two decades while they both come up in the industry. Coodie follows Kayne as an up-and-coming music producer/rapper throughout his career and documents it along the way. A couple things it showcases is when Kayne got signed, his struggles of being taken serious as a rapper, and one of the most inspiring things: his determination. Throughout the film we can see behind the scenes footage, his upbringing , and the talks with his mother. As much as he is hated by some, he is loved by many, and the film gives insight on how this man came to exist.

Smiling Friends is an adult animated show created by Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack for Adult Swim. The cartoon focuses on two friends Charlie and Pim as they work for the Smiling Friends Inc. with a mission to be able to cheer up sad people. Throughout the 8 episodes of the show, we see how Charlie and Pim tackle issues differently, but at the end of the day they come together with one mission to make people smile in crazy world that the show takes place. As you would expect, this leads to many fun adventures full of crazy antics, absurd humor, and even some heartfelt moments. At first glance Smiling Friends might seem like an average adult cartoon, but when watching you will realize that it is truly something special as it pushes the envelope of the medium with witty dialogue and experimental animation. Smiling Friends is available to stream on HBO Max and is already renewed for a second season which will premiere on Adult Swim.

What else this show focuses on is how hard it can be trying to figure out your sexuality as a teenager in today's world and it also like to focus on the mental health that comes with it in the long run. Jujustu Kaisen is an anime about a teenager named Yuji Itadori, who embarks on a mission to rid himself and the world of a very powerful curse. A student from the Jujutsu Kaisen High school is sent to search for the fingers of a demon known as Sukuna, the strongest curse that exists and which attracts all weaker curses to the fingers that are in unknown locations; and finds one at Yuji's high school. After the finger attracts other curses that kill one of Yuji's friends, Yuji swallows the finger to protect his remaining friends and becomes the host of that demon. It is discovered that Yuji can control the magic inherited from the demon, without interference from the demon possessing him. Being the first able to do this, Yuji enters a shaman's school to be able to locate the demon's other body parts and thus exercise himself.

The story takes place in a high school in Japan and details the complicaed love story between two intelligent student council members. The student council President, Shirogane, and the Vice President, Kaguya both feel very deeply for each other but constantly try to find new strategies that will make the other confess their love for them first. The amount of effort that is taken to win this game makes this a fun and charming show to watch.

Half and Half is an early 2000's sitcom featuring two half-sisters, Mona and Dee Dee. Although they share a dad, they weren't very close growing up. Dee Dee grew up with their dad and was very affluent, while Mona was raised by a single mother and struggled financially. Throughout the duration of the show, the two girls confront their past resentment towards one another, learn what it's like to have a sister, and maneuver life's daily troubles together. This show is a Apple Plus exclusive. It is a loosely based fiction, set during the Cold War and Space Race. It deals with civil rights along with women's rights. Unlike the real world the Soviets beat us to the moon and were also the first to put a woman on the moon. Everything looked lost till they discovered there was water on the moon. President Nixon was mad that the Soviets were beating us so he said the US would be the first to put a base on a moon. Eventually they did. In the second season is set 10 years later, the Cold War and Space Race are still going and the Soviets and USA both have bases on the moon. The US send Marines to be security because the soviets took a mining operation. Eventually they confront the soviets and shoot them. One dies but another survives and wants to defect to the US. Russia is mad and they attack the moon base along with setting up a blockade of the moon because they found out the US was sending nuclear warheads to the moon. War is about to erupt but US and Soviet astronauts do a peaceful handshake in space on live TV and that stops all the escalation. The next stop is Mars. I strongly recommend watching this.

Murderville is an improv comedy show available on Netflix. The show aired on February 3, 2022 and currently has one season with six episodes. Emmy nominated comedian Will Arnett plays Detective Terry, a witty yet bipolar detective that needs extra help on the newest homicide case. Terry hires a new celebrity guest each episode to be a trainee detective and to help solve the case. Throughout the show, the guest celebrity is introduced to three potential suspects and is challenged to find the killer. They must find their answers through improv and decide who the killer is at the end of the episode. Big name celebrities such as Conan O'Brien, Kim Jeong and Kumail Nanjiani are featured as guests on the show. The series is based on Murder in Successville, a British comedy series that followed the same guest celebrity improv premise.

Paranoia Agent is an anime by late Japanese director, Satoshi Kon. The story begins in Musashino, Tokyo, and follows a strange series of events in this thirteen-episode psychological thriller. A mysterious figure is causing massive upheaval in the otherwise peaceful society of Tokyo. Referred to affectionately as Lil Slugger, the public is captivated by this violent juvenile as he beats victims to near death with his crooked, golden bat. The story follows each of his victims, seemingly unrelated, yet there is a thinnest of threads to follow that connects each of them together. A thread that two detectives must find, as Lil Slugger terror on Tokyo heightens to extreme proportions. Paranoia agent is a social commentary on mental trauma, isolation, self-victimization, and the sick fascination society has with brutal acts of violence.

Alice in Borderland is a Japanese live-action fantasy thriller based on a three-episode manga. It takes place in a parral Tokyo after a group of three friends, Ryōhei Arisu, Chōta Segawa, and Daikichi Karube, is transported to the world after hiding in a train station bathroom from the police. When the friends leave the bathroom they find Tokyo deserted and are directed to a building where they must play dangerous games to survive. The games each have a level determined by the type of card presented at the beginning of the game. After playing the game, and surviving, the players are allowed to live a certain amount of days without playing by being given a 'visa' another name for the card collected at the beginning of the game. The more difficult the game, the longer they get to live without playing again. However, if they refuse to play, they are immediately killed by a red laser from the sky shooting down and making their head combust.

This show is on HBO Max exclusively. It is set directly after The Suicide Squad, it follows anti-hero Peacemaker, who is played by John Cena, after he awakens in the hospital after being shot at the end of The Suicide Squad. Peacemaker is recruited by a secret government organization to help save the world from the invasive alien species known as "Butterflies" which takes over a host's body. In this show, anybody could be the bad guy. This show is a hilarious no holds barred comedy-drama mix. If superhero TV shows or movies aren't your thing, I'd still recommend giving this a watch.

Everything Sucks! is set in 1996 at Boring High School in Oregon and follows two groups of teenagers. When the school play is canceled due to set destruction, Luke and his friends offer that the AV Club and Drama Club collaborate on a film that would be broadcasted to the entire school. Meanwhile, Luke is dealing with the discovery of VHS tapes recorded by his father before abandoning him and his mother. Following a discussion regarding Luke in the principal's office, Luke's mother, Sherry, grows close to Ken, Kate's father, and the principal of Boring.

We see him getting into all sorts of odd situations as he tries to change who he is in desperate attempts to win the affection of whatever girl he's fallen in love with that episode. Power Book 2 serves as a spinoff to Power which was created by Courtney Kemp and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. Power book 2 starts a little after the original series ends, in this series Tariq is dealing with the aftermath of having killed his father. His mother is being charged for the murder of his father, all the while going into his first year at an Ivy League school, while still being in tangled in the drug business to help pay legal fees. In the series Tariq tries to balance his drug operation with his grades, love life, and family. He realizes that the only way to avoid his father's fate is to become him.

Griffith, Annie (MW) Reprisal 50
Reprisal is a show on Hulu that entails the production of revenge in a classy yet violent way. The show is based around Burt's Bang a Rang, a warehouse speakeasy in the Midwest that is full of pinups and booze and is operated by the Brawlers gang. Burt's sister, Katherine, was left for dead after confronting her brother for betraying his gang to frame their rival gang, the Ghouls. Katherine goes on to obtain a new identity and years later instills her ploy for revenge. The plot entangles with gore as the episodes reveal more about the neighboring gangs and their dynamic with the Brawlers. Reprisal is a show about a female heroine that utilizes patience and her underestimated femininity to seek justice. This show obtains your full attention with nearly edible cinematography and timely context that displays the strength and capability of women through a masculine yet sometimes raunchy lens.
Berlanga, Alberto (TTh) Serial Experiments Lain 50
Serial Experiments Lain is an animated show from Japan that ran from July to September of 1998. It tells the story of Lain, an introverted middle-schooler, who develops an unhealthy obsession with the internet following a series of cryptic e-mails from her supposedly dead classmate. From that point on the show becomes progressively more surreal as the chronology of the episodes shifts around in unexpected ways and the narrator becomes increasingly unreliable. This is a very interesting and unique watch that I'd recommend to anyone who would like to experience a different type of show. In its short 13 episode run the show tackles a variety of themes such as existentialism, identity, and artificial intelligence. Its jarring how well this 1998 program predicted the effects social media would have on people's minds and interactions and anybody who is interested in that topic owes it to themselves to watch this show, it is a very short watch and it has all been uploaded to YouTube in HD for free.

Fruits Basket (2019) is the newest anime adaptation of Natsuki Takaya's manga. This supernatural romantic comedy follows the selfless Tohru Honda, a teenage girl known for her contagious optimism and the Sohmas, a family riddled with secrets and generational trauma. After losing her mother, and not wanting to bother her grandfather while his house is under renovations, the essentially homeless Tohru is taken in by Shigure Sohma, rent free, on the grounds that she provides domestic labor. However, her responsibilities grow as it is revealed that the Sohmas are cursed- with 13 members being possessed by the 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac, plus the Cat. Those who are possessed cannot embrace or be embraced by a person of the opposite gender, lest they turn into the animal they are possessed by. Tension builds as news about Tohru spreads throughout the Sohma family- can she be trusted with such a secret? Be prepared to laugh and cry as Tohru meets the rest of the Sohma family, rises up to face the antagonistic head of the Sohma family, and tries to find a way to lift the Curse once and for all. The 2019 reboot and the original 2001 anime are both available on Hulu with a basic subscription, and both shows follow the same basic premise, however the reboot is both longer and more loyal to the source material.

The Chosen is a Loaves & Fishes production that goes through the account of Jesus' life and was produced by Angel Studio. It is from the viewpoint of the apostles so it really shows what living with the guidance of Jesus was like and how to be a disciple of Christ. The Chosen is relatively new, so they have not gone through the entire account of his life yet but what they have done is really cool and inspiring for Christians everywhere. Another cool thing about this show is that it is free for anyone to watch as long as you have a device. They produced all the episodes based on donations to make sure it is free for everyone.

Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song is an original anime series created by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara and produced by the iconic Wit Studios. After decades of research into the creation of self-sufficient androids, humanity integrated artificial intelligence into all aspects of life. Every android with AI is programmed with one "mission" and the protagonist Vivy's mission is to bring happiness to humans by performing songs at an AI theme park. She is at peace until a robot from the future (Matsumoto) tells her that her park is ground zero for the extinction of humanity. Together the two locate the points on the timeline that lead to the eradication and attempt to stop it.

Pretty Smart is a show on Netflix with some familiar actors/actresses, like Emily Osment and Gregg Sulkin. In this show, Chelsea reunites with her sister in Los Angeles and ends up moving in with her sister and her sister's friends. The rest of the show includes Chelsea trying to adjust to this new life, create friendships, and possibly even fall in love.

Parasyte is an anime television series based off the Parasyte manga written by Hitoshi Iwaaki. Parasites slowly begin to take over human's minds on earth, thus having control over their whole body. The parasites then butcher and kill humans in their path. The show follows a high school boy whose hand becomes possessed by a parasite. The parasite, Migi, did not successfully take over the boy's, Schinichi Izumi, brain, so the two have separate streams of consciousness. Migi and Schinichi find themselves in a battle against other parasites who butcher humans.

The teams have only hours to complete their tasks, such as creating a functional mini golf course or building a city scape that will endure seismic vibrations. Each episode, the team that does the worst is eliminated until a pair of one baker and one engineer stands. The teams must work together to win the title of the best "bakineers".
