"Watch The Sound" is a 6-part documentary series on Apple TV+ hosted by Mark Ronson. Mark Ronson is a 7-time Grammy Award winner who has worked with artists such as Adele, Lady Gaga, Duran-Duran and Amy Winehouse (won Producer of the Year for his work on her album "Back to Black"). The 6-part series explores how certain sounds in popular music are made and the technology used to do so. In each episode, Mark Ronson speaks different artists like Paul McCartney, Questlove, The Beastie Boys, Vernon Reid, Dave Grohl and others, about their use, love of and experience with these technologies. The six episodes are titled "Auto-Tune," "Sampling," "Reverb," "Synthesizers," "Drum Machines," and "Distortion." "Watch The Sound" as a great behind the scenes look at how modern technology and artistic inspiration have merged to create popular music across multiple genres. The clip below is from Episode 2 "Sampling," where Mark Ronson talks with DJ Premier about sampling one of his tunes on the night they first met.
