Rules of Engagement is a sit-com made in the late 2000's and early 2010's that relates with two other more popular sit-coms, "Friends" and "How I Met Your Mother". The show is based around a group of friends that all portray different takes on relationships. On one hand you are introduced to a married couple of twelve years who's obviously pass the honeymoon stage, while on the other hand you have a younger, more modern, couple who quickly got engaged not long after meeting and is trying to learn everything on the fly. The two couples different takes on marriage intertwining with each other can be complicated enough but, you have the third take still. David Spade plays the role of the older bachelor who doesn't seem to want to grow up and definitely puts his 2 cents in all the "marriage" and dating matters.
