Off the Air is referred to as an Anthology Television Series as each episode provides the viewer with a different story and set of characters. The creator, Dave Hughes, presents the series without an explanation or narration by instead focusing around a single loose theme that can be understood through the episode title. The 11 minute episodes are aired without pause at the 4:00 a.m. graveyard slot on Adult Swim. Its premiere date was January 1, 2011 and they're currently in the works of producing season 4. Though it has remained relatively unknown to most people, its ratings are high and this generally "weird" production actually has quite the respect from critics and Adult Swim alike. A typical episode will showcase anything from viral videos, animations, short films, music videos, and TV and film clips morphed into psychedelic imagery.
