The Hills is an American reality television series that producer Adam DiVello and executive producer Liz Gateley developed as a spin-off of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. This reality show aired on MTV from 2006 through 2010, following the professional and personal lives of young, privileged college students who made their move to Los Angeles, California. Lauren Conrad, the series central focus, sets out to find a way of her own after leaving her home in Laguna Beach. The series focuses on Conrad as she pursues a career in the fashion industry by attending the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and earning a Teen Vogue internship. Reality soon becomes a nightmare for Lauren as soon as she discovers how her picture perfect housemates, relationships, college and internship change overtime.
