"Love It or List It" is a show that airs on HGTV here in America. The basic premise is that a couple/family are torn between keeping the house that they currently live in that has been renovated, or selling it and purchasing a new house that offers what they want. The two hosts of the show, Hilary Farr and David Visentin, are a designer and realtor respectfully. Hilary teams up with the family and put together a budget and then takes their ideas and renovates their house. In the meantime, David takes the families and shows them houses in the neighborhood that are for sale that already have their ideas in place. At the end of the process, the family then decides whether they will continue to love their house or list it and purchase a new one. David and Hilary "compete" with one another and bicker like a married couple. They serve as they comedic relief in the show. Most of the times, the families are also torn with one spouse wanting to list and the other
wanting to stay. All in all, the show provides entertainment and gives ideas for viewers to take on with their own home improvement projects. The show's creators, Maria Armstrong and Catherine Fogarty, also serve as the two executive producers. The show runs for sixty minutes and is currently in their seventh season.
The show airs on HGTV on Mondays.
