The Flash is an upcoming superhero fiction/action television series developed by writers and executive producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns. The series will be aired October 7 on the CW. The show is a spin off to Arrow, which will share the same universe. It is centered on the popular DC Comic character Barry Allen/ The Flash, who witnessed his mother murder and his father being wrongly accused. Upon a mission to uncover the truth about the murder of his mother, Allen gets struck by lighting and enters a coma. After waking up, he discovers that he has the ability to move at superhuman speed. With his new ability, he is determined to protect his city and bring justice upon the murder of his mother. Reasons to be excited about The Flash, is that DC Entertainment has had a good track record when it comes to their television series like Arrow and Smallville, and this will be the first time that we get to see a live action adaption of
The Flash. The show has not come yet, but I can tell that it will be better than that Green Lantern film.

The Haves and the Have Nots is a new television drama from the prolific writer, director and producer Tyler Perry. The show follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent Savannah, Georgia, mansion. Hanna Young (Crystal Fox) is the Cryers' maid and the matriarch of her family. Despite having no money, she has found other types of wealth through religion and virtue. She prides herself on her dutiful son, Benny (Tyler Lepley), the glue who helps keep the family together. SMASH celebrates the beauty and heartbreak of the Broadway theater as it follows a series of dreamers and schemers who all have one common desire - to be a "Smash."

Smash centers around a Broadway writing team who comes up with the idea to create a musical about the life of Marilyn Monroe where two aspiring actresses "Karen Cartwright" Katharine McPhee and "Ivy Lynn" (Megan Hilty), fight for the coveted role of Marilyn Monroe and what it take to fully be a Bombshell. The show lets the audience see that "In's and Outs" of the theater community and all the process that it takes to create a show, form the script, music, choreography, to finally the Main Stage. OF COURSE it is not fully a Theater story with out a little bit of "Drama" and SMASH has it all, it shows the realistic aspects of how far a people will go to make it to the top at all cost no matter who gets caught in their cross fire, and what happens when another show seems to steal the spotlight.

19 Kids and Counting series began in September of 2008. This TLC reality TV show is about the day to day lives of Jim Bob, Michelle Duggar and their 19 kids. They have nine girls and ten boys and all of their names begin with the letter J. The Duggar's are Independent Baptist and teach their children to practice a modest way of life. The show features the children's home schooling, the chaperoned courtships (dating) and the buddy system they live by. Girl Meets World is a new coming of age sitcom on the Disney Channel. It is a sequel of the ABC sitcom, Boy Meets World, which aired from 1993 to 2000. Girl Meets World first aired June 27, 2014. The show follows the lives of Cory and Topanga Matthews' daughter, Riley as she tries to navigate her life through middle school with her best friend Maya. Cory (who was the main character of Boy Meets World) is now Riley's teacher at school. On August 6, 2014 Girl Meets World was renewed for a second season on Disney Channel. The same producers and writers of Boy Meets World write and produce the sequel but for a younger generation. Any fan of Boy Meets World will also be a fan of Girl Meets World.

Hemlock Grove is a Netflix original series. Netflix just recently released season two back in July so people can beige watch. The show is executive produced by Eli Roth, developed by Brian McGreevy and Lee Shipman, and is a production of Gaurmont International
Television. It is based on McGreevy's novel also called Hemlock Grove. The show examines the strange happenings in Hemlock Grove, a fictional town in Pennsylvania. Roman Godfrey, heir to the town's wealthy Godfrey family, befriends the town's newcomer, Peter Rumancek. Recent brutal murders in the town have stirred up rumors, and the two work together to shed light on the case while also hiding their own dark secrets. In this small town most of the income comes from the Godfrey Tower, which is ran by Olivia Godfrey who has secrets of her own. The Godfrey Tower is a hospital facility that does more than treat the sick. Season one and season two both follow different stories but still connect in a way. If you enjoy shows about supernaturals than Hemlock Grove is just for you. there is quite a bit of mystery in this show. Hemlock Grove takes a different approach to supernatural beings to a whole new level. This show can get quite graphic with gore, nudity

RWBY is a computer generated anime by Monty Oum and Rooster Teeth Productions. RWBY (Pronounced like ruby) is set in the fictional world of Remnant where supernatural forces and evil creatures are all around. Those who fight those creatures are known as Huntsmen or Huntresses but not just anyone can become one. At Beacon Academy is where we meet the four main characters Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang where they are training to become Huntresses. Most of the characters are based off historical figures, fairy tale characters, and even an ice cream flavor in one case. For example, Ruby is based on Little Red Riding Hood and the monsters are known as "Creatures of Grimm" after the Grimm Brothers. This show is a supernatural/action/drama that is sure to get you on the edge of your seat. The show follows actor Matt Ryan who plays John Constantine, a magician and con man turned supernatural detective. The show will follow Constantine as he fights and protects us from dark forces that are lurking all around. If you liked the 2005 Keanu Reevs film, also based on the comic, then this is the new show for you.

Attack on Titan is an exciting anime series created by Hajime Isayama. This series focuses on a small civilization who has protected themselves from Titans by creating a walled community after almost being exterminated by them 100 years ago. Titans, who are mindless giants, seem to prey on people for pure pleasure rather than a food source. After living in peace for 100 years, the community is threatened once again by Titans. The main character, Eren, sees the destruction of his city and the murder of his mother by the hand of a Titan. After that day, Eren vows to kill every Titan in his path to protect mankind. Hatcher, Leah (TTh) Summer Heights High 100 (61 said it was worth watching)

Summer Heights High is an HBO series by Australian writer and actor, Chris Lilley. It's a mockumentary style comedy that revolves around a public school and it definitely delivers laughs. Lilley stars as all three of the show's central characters: a troubled 8th grade student named Jonah, a self-absorbed private school girl named J'amie and a flamboyant and narcissistic drama teacher named Mr. G. This show is incredible in every way. Chris Lilley definitely pulls off all three characters in the most believable way. Only on for one season in 2007, sadly, but all episodes are available on HBO Go. Two of the three characters also have spin off shows for those of you who just can't get enough. Hit The Floor is a jaw dropping series on VH1 that is so good, it has just been picked up for a third season. Hit The Floor was created by James LaRosa. The Los Angeles Devils, a fictional basketball team, has nothing but drama in the arena. This tv series follows the players who share the fame, power, money, and sex with the dancers, known as The Devil Girls. We can't forget the 2 murders. The murder of a former dancer and their previous director has become a mystery. Who killed them? Each of the main characters have a secret they are trying to protect that could jeopardize not only their working positions in the Devils' arena, but their outside lives as well. Because of these secrets, EVERYONE has become a suspect. As the murder investigation becomes more in depth, relationships throughout the arena are ruined, new ones surface, and old ones are rekindled. Yet, the murderer is still in the arena, quiet as kept. The Fosters is a hit show on ABC Family. It is a compelling, one-hour drama about a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms. Stef Foster, a dedicated police officer, and her partner Lena Adams, a school vice principal, have built a close-knit, loving family with Stef's biological son from a previous marriage, Brandon, and their adopted twins, Mariana and Jesus. Lena and Stef welcome Callie and her brother, Jude, into their home thinking it's just for a few weeks, until a more permanent placement can be found. But life has something else in store for the Fosters.
The idea for The Fosters was originally conceived by openly gay creators Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige who wanted to write a drama that reflected the "modern American family". Peter Paige and Bradley Bredeweg, also serve as executive producers alongside Jennifer Lopez whose production company, Nuyorican Productions, is responsible for putting The Fosters on air.
This show is something to watch because the plot portrays the normal every day issues and events teenagers & families go through, but with a "modern" twist. You can watch the first season of The Fosters on Netflix and then tune in for the second season on the ABC Family channel, Monday nights at 7 pm.

Granger, Rylie (TTH) Don't Trust the B**** 10

If you enjoy funny, wild, and drama; then Don't Trust the B**** in Apartment 23 is definitely for you. This fulfilling sitcom is produced by Nahnatchka Khan and directed by Jason Winer, that is aired on Fox and ABC. The show includes a party girl that also happens to be a con-artitst who lives with a sweet and innocent roommate. The series shows the different lifestyles of the girls that in the end, bring them together to be best-friends. Not only do they have problems with keeping friends; but also with finding ways to pay rent. Being sweet and innocent doesn't always get you further in life.... sometimes you have to be a b**** and that is exactly what the con-artist roommate is trying to do. She is teaching the innocent "baby" her conniving ways. ABC bought out Fox for the show after two seasons. ABC tried to change the name because they thought "B****" was inappropriate so they changed it to "Apartment 23".

Stephen Merchant, co-executive producer of The Office, brings his newest show to HBO playing an Englishmen trying to find love in Los Angeles. What could go wrong? Well as you watch the show you discover that everything could possibly go wrong for Merchant's character, Stuart Pritchard. Pritchard will do anything and I mean anything to land dates with beautiful women. Pritchard is a geeky, awkward web designer that just can't catch a break, but it's at his own doing. He constantly puts himself in humiliating situations and you would think he learned his lesson to not chase models. Obviously, he doesn't and continues to embarrass himself. If you've ever seen any of Merchant's shows such as The Office, An Idiot Abroad, The Ricky Gervais Show, or Life's Too Short then you'll definitely want to check out Hello Ladies because it's the same sort of concept where you have the protagonist put himself in awkward situations and the only thing you can do is sit and laugh. HBO did not renew the series for a second season, but they did want to air a special to wrap up the series. You can currently watch every episode from the first season on HBO Go.

Firefly is a science-fiction series about a band of eclectic friends—or, as I like to call them, "renegade space cowboys"—living on a "Firefly-class spaceship" in the year 2517. This animated series details the events that took place between Episode 2 and Episode 3 of the Star Wars pre-quel trilogy. Although the animation presents a playful style, the series often reflects on the realities of war and the terrible price that must be paid. Married at First Sight is a new television reality show on channel fyi,. The concept of this reality show consists of a group of experts thats match up three couples who they believe are perfect for each other. These "soul mates" are matched up based on their careers, values and morals, and intimacy levels. However, there is a catch: these people do not know each other and do not even know what their names are by the time they say "I Do". In this show, they are literally and legally married at first sight; they challenging themselves to go into a commitment blind.
The spouses are strangers and must live together, facing all conflicts that any other married couple would have to go through. The three couples must complete five weeks of being married to each other before they can decide if they want to stay married or get a legal divorce. It's interesting to watch these people slowly fall in love grow a hatred for their spouse.

The show I have chosen is titled Survivors. Survivors is a British science fiction television series. The series was produced by BBC and aired on their networks. The show tells of a group of people that have survived a type of flu that is unknown. The flu has

wiped out most of the human population and the resources we need daily. The group of people attempt to survive on their own, with little to no food or water and absolutely no help from authorities. The show premiered in November of 2008 and ended in February
2010. I came across the show on Netflix and quickly watched and finished its 2 seasons. The plot of the show and the struggles that the characters endure remind me very much of The Walking Dead, which is one of my favorite shows, and I believe that is why
I enjoyed it so much. The show starts Julie Graham, Max Beesley, Zoe Tapper, Paterson Joseph and Phillip Rhys.

NCIS has been on CBS for 11 seasons and will continue with season 12 in September. NCIS LA a spin off of the original, has been on CBS for 5 seasons and will start back up in September as well for its 6th season. NCIS New Orleans is the most recent spin off of the show. The characters were introduced in NCIS last season and were an immediate hit with fans. NCIS New Orleans will debut its first season in September. CBS is a widely popular and successful network and shows like NCIS New Orleans and NCIS play a major role in attracting audiences.
I personally have seen every episode of NCIS and NCIS LA ever made and I think it is a great show. On Average NCIS LA has 15.1 million viewers and NCIS has 18.5 million viewers. NCIS has been named the number one drama. It appeals to a wide variety of audiences. It has crime, drama, suspense, and humor all wrapped up into one show. Unlike most shows today, it has remained family friendly.  NCIS New Orleans has a cast that appeals to a wide variety of fans and I know it will be successful. I hope this show will work for the project.

Reyes, Ayla (TTh) Dead Like Me 100

Dead Like Me was a original showtime series that aired in 2003 to 2004 created by Bryan Fuller.
The gist of the series is about a college drop out (Georgia Lass) that is unhappy in life and unfortunately dies from a toilet seat hitting her head that fell from the MIR space station. She is then asked to join a group of grim reapers who mixes in among the living and takes their souls just before they die. The group of reapers died with with lessons to still be learned and the series go on to show them still running into the same problems and learning from them, just from a different perspective.
Even though the show sounds pretty morbid, it's is a hilarious dark comedy that will guarantee a good laugh and possibly even teach the viewers something they can use in reality.

Eckhardt, Lauren (TTH) Sword Art Online 25

Sword Art Online is an anime series directed by Tomohiko Ito and produced by A-1 Pictures which aired in Japan between July and December of 2012.  It is 25 episodes long and is available on both Netflix and for free on CrunchyRoll.
The series takes place in the near-future and focuses on various virtual reality/MMORPG worlds. Sword Art Online has received widespread commercial success. The anime series has received mixed to positive reviews from critics, with some praising the exploration of the psychological aspects of virtual reality, while others criticized the series' pacing and writing.

Lesa, Alyssa (TTH) Gotham 100 (91 will watch)

This fall Fox is airing a new series GOTHAM, it's the name of a fictional city created by DC Entertainment. This new series is about the origin of Batman and his multiple villains. It starts from the very beginning, the infamous murder scene, a young Bruce Wayne and a cop who just wants to help decrease crime. James Gordon is new to town and doesn't have a clue about the corruption or crime in Gotham. After the murder of the Wayne, he promises to catch the person responsible. Throughout the series, we can see how the relationship blossoms between the Wayne and Gordon and we see how corrupt Gotham really is. There will also be appearances in each episode from preeminent villains and unveil who they were before. This is just a random fun fact, the actor playing James Gordon was born and raised in Austin, TX. I don't know about you guys, but I'm proud of being where I'm from. If you can't tell by now I'm from Texas, so besides my love for DC Universe, I
really want to watch it because Ben McKenzie is representing Texas.

Reyes, Juan Xavier (MW) Penny Dreadful 100

Penny Dreadful is a British-American TV series which is Showtime programming on cable.
To kind of summarize the show it is about a Man Named Sir Malcolm who's daughter(Mina) is abducted by nocturnal living beings (Vampires) and are planning something close to something of an apocalypse/ end of the world type plot. Malcolm then starts to put together a team of talented/gifted yet horrifying people who can help save his daughter, and also stop what these creatures are essentially plotting. This show is exactly what the name suggest: dreadful, horrifying, and a thriller. It also includes characters from very well known respected works of literature like Victor Frankenstein and his creature, Dorian Grey, Vanhelsing, and even creatures from Dracula.

Bullard, Ke'Anna (MW) It's Ok, That's Love 100

This is a tv show currently airing on SBS, Seoul Broadcasting System. The first episode aired July 23, 2014, in Korea, but the English subbed version was uploaded to Viki.com a day later. This is how all the other episodes are being uploaded as well.
Viki has several subbing teams that subs various shows in many different languages.
The show is centered around a female psychiatrist, Haesoo, and an successful male author, Jaeyeol. Jaeyeol has a traumatic experience involving his brother at the beginning of the show and has deep rooted mental and emotional issues. The two  meet at a tv show
where Jaeyeol is attracted to Haesoo attitude's towards him and decides to move into the apartment where she is living. As the show has progressed, it is shown that Haesoo is attending therapy for an aversion to romance caused by her mother.
Some secondary characters include Kwangwoo, one of Haesoo's roommates that suffers from Tourette's, and Kangwoo, a high school student from an abusive home that looks up to Jaeyeol and aspires to be a writer like him.
One thing that stands out with this show is the way it handles mental health. For example, there a definitions given for each mental disorder as they are presented through each character.
There are is also one large plot twist so far that left many people shocked.
As an American it is also interesting to see a little bit of the culture through the show as well.
All of these things contribute to the appeal of the show and make it very interesting to watch.

Owen, Hannah (MW) South of Nowhere 100

This show premiered on The N, the channel which is now TeenNick. This channel is geared towards a young adult audience. Thriving in drama and scandal, the channel originally created South of Nowhere. It follows the Carlin family. Consisting of a married mother and father, and they're three teenagers, Spencer, Glen and Clay. Each member of the family encounters a social struggle throughout the series. Ranging from drug abuse, racism, adultery, and discovering sexuality. The show captivated young audiences. The main focus on the show lies on the daughter, Spencer, and her relationship with her friend, Ashley, which soon becomes more intimate than we first expected. Though from paper, it may sound like another cheesy teen drama but it hits home. This show has the ability to take audiences through a range of emotions. Laughing through relatable teenage mischief or crying from deathly encounters. I promise you would binge watch all the seasons in one day.

Gray, Jordan (MW) The Leftovers 100 (28 will watch)

The HBO program called "The Leftovers" is a new program in its first season, and certainly worth the experience. I say experience because it's unlike any other show I've seen and has already sent me on quite the emotional roller coaster!

The premise is that humankind experiences a controversial tragedy; two percent of the entire world's population vanishes, with no warning or explanation. The show follows the police chief of Mapleton, NY and various other characters in the town, documenting how they cope, react, and address the "departures". It's a wildly unique piece of social commentary that raises a series of questions, human interactions, and socioeconomic upheaval. Chalked full of fascinating character development and cliff-hanging plot twists, the Leftovers is certainly worth a watch!
