Glow on Netflix is a remake of the 1980's hit series. Glow stands for the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, a documentary demonstrating the women in the group and their personal struggles while recording the show. Although both series are quiet similar, the reboot's a bit more fictional. It starts of with Alison Brie (Ruth), an out of work actress pursuing her dreams of making it big. When the opportunity to audition for the show arrive, she's not too sure what she wants to do, as it is like nothing she's ever done before. The show was produced by the creators of Orange is the New Black, so it's definitely filled with drama, laughs, and 80's political climate. It demonstrates how wrestling characters are developed and the tactics behind making the matches look authentic.
