Kurt Seyit & Sura is a Turkish soap opera set during WW1. It's about a Turkish lieutenant that falls in love with a Russian woman, who at that time in history, are enemies with each other, and have to go through war, and family and social expectations to be together. It's based off a book about the author's ancestors. Although spoken in only Turkish, the subtitles are easy to read and the acting is dramatic and exciting. The first season is currently available on Netflix.
