The world at this point has been divided into different colonies and the show takes place in Los Angeles in the near future and it follows the Bowman family. Father and husband Will Bowman, is a former FBI agent working for "occupation" who are the new government in control of each colony. But Will's wife Katie is working with the resistance and the show follows their struggles to keep there family together while living separate lives.
