The Order is a drama and supernatural fiction found on Netflix. Jack Morton is a new student at Belgrave University who finds out about a secret society called The Order. At first he does not know if it is a real thing or just a myth that people talk about at the school. Jack eventually gets inducted into The Order where he learns about magic, monsters, and other strange phenomena that he did not previously know existed. As Jack digs deeper into The Order he uncovers family secrets and finds out about an undercover battle between werewolves and the magical dark arts.

Spy x Family is an anime following Agent Twilight, also known as Loid Forger, who is a spy on an undercover mission, "Operation Strix" for the nation of Westalias. Loid has to build a family to infiltrate an elite private school to get to the recluse National Unity Party Leader, Donovan Desmond, to prevent him from tampering with the peace between two nations. With the fake profession of a psychiatrist, Loid acquires a wife and a daughter. Little does he know he isn't the only one living a double life. His wife, Yor, is a skilled assassin and his daughter Anya is a telepath. Spy x Family follows the family as they put on the show of a normal family while hiding their true identities from one another. The comedic family drama is available to stream on Hulu and Cruncyroll.

Tell Me Lies is based off of the 2018 novel of the same name and follows the main character, Lucy Albright in 2007 as she navigates her first year of college. She and her roommate Macy hit it off and she soon takes Lucy her under her wing, introducing her to her friend group. The next day after waking up from a party, it is revealed that a member of the friend group has died in a drunk driving accident. As the school year continues, the lives of these friends take many twists and turns, one building onto the next ultimately uncovering the events leading up to the fateful accident. Kiyo decides to become the Makanai which leads to both Kiyo and Sumire discovering their own passions and interests in different ways while trying to maintain their friendship in the same house. This show is focused on friendship and the problems an unexpected situation can cause for two friends. The show's casual storytelling and realistic situations lead to an enjoyable binge-worthy show.

Pulgar, Carlota (TTh) Special Forces: World's Toughest Test 50
Special Forces: World's Toughest Test stars 16 celebrities of different industries from Jamie Lynn Spears, to Mel B, to Kate Gosselin, to Mike Piazza, who are taken through ten days of special forces training and challenges. This is a new show airing on FOX since the start of 2023, and the whole season is still not out yet, just a couple episodes. Through the show the celebrities are directed what to do by a staff of individuals who have worked for various special forces groups. The celebrities are taken out of their comfort zone mentally, physically and emotionally through the tasks they have to do which at times can even be deadly. Needless to say, there is not elimination, the contestants have an arm band with their assigned number, 1 through 16, and the moment they decide to take off the armband is when they leave on their accord or by situations like injury or illness. The goal of the show is to make it through the ten days, but the deeper goal is to change, or have a different outlook on life because of the experience.

The Bear is a comedy-drama series directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud about a young fine dining chef, Carmen 'Carmy' Berzatto, who inherits his family sandwich shop in Chicago. Carmy moves back to his hometown of Chicago to find the shop in rough shape and works to turn the business around. While adjusting to his new life as a business owner and longing his comfortable life as a fine dining chef in New York City, Carmy tackles financial issues and personal conflict over his brother's death. The show features notable actors including Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Ayo Edebiri.

Our Only Chance (La última) is a Spanish Tv show that was released in 2022. It's about a guy named Diego who dreams to become a professional and very famous boxer, and a girl named Candela who dreams to become a successful singer. These two characters have known each other since they were in middle school but never cared about getting to know each other. Years later they crashed into each other after Candela was presenting a song for a very famous producer. Diego struggles with money leading him to fight on the streets illegally in order for him to gain money. Candela and Diego start dating, but they're different lifestyles gets in between.

The Amazing World of Gumball is an animated series that began in may of 2011, lasted six seasons, and ultimately ended in 2019. TAWOG follows the lives of 12 year old Gumball Waterson, his siblings Darwin and Anais, their parents, classmates and neighbors in the city of Elmore. The show incorporates many different mediums (CGI, traditional animation, puppets, etc.) to create the final and iconic look. The show incorporates different methods of humor and themes that are relatable not only to children, but to their parents watching out of the corner of their eye.
Budde, Mark (TTh) Keep Sweet Pray and Obey 50
Keep Sweet Pray and Obey (2022) is a four episode Netflix documentary series that follows Warren Jeffs and the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS). The documentary takes place in the 1990's and 2000's in Utah. The FLDS cult was founded 1920 after splitting from the Mormon church in order to maintain the practice of polygamy. Survivors of this cult tell about their experience with the church and its leader, Jeffs, which includes gruesome accounts of sexual abuse, manipulation and pedophilia.
Voigt, Bonnie (TTh) Wednesday 50
Wednesday follows the life of Wednesday Addams as a teenage girl who has just been sent to Nevermore Academy: the boarding school where her parents met. She is resentful of this and wants nothing to do with her parents or with Nevermore. However, Wednesday finds that the academy is full of mysteries, secrets, murders, and an old evil that has placed the "outcasts" of the academy and the "normies" of the town at odds. The show stars Jenna Ortega and is directed by Tim Burton. The show gives a modern twist to the classic Addams Family and is both funny and intriguing as the mystery comes to a head over the course of the first season. There is currently only one season of the show that was just released on Netflix in November of 2022.

The Last of Us is from a very popular video game back in its release in 2014 that was created into a TV show this year 2023. It is about a global pandemic of fungus that turns most of humanity into zombies, and no they are not your typical 'Walking Dead' zombies. The main character Joel is given to a 14-year-old girl to be taken to a facility across the U.S, and she is humanity's last hope of survival against the viral fungus.
Martinez, James (TTh) Inside Combat Rescue 50
Inside Combat Rescue is a 2 season series on National Geographic that gives you a firsthand look at the PJs or Pararescue Jumpers of the United States Airforce. While deployed in Afghanistan these medics risk their own lives without question to save others. From soldiers to civilians, they answer the call. They are the first to be called when casualties occur on the battlefield, and in many situations are the difference between life and death. While landing under enemy fire, and battling tough terrain, you get a firsthand account of their intense missions. This is a great show and as a veteran myself, I truly appreciate what they do, so it's cool to highlight what these guys do. This show can be seen on Paramount plus.

Set in South Korea, Single's Inferno 2 is the second season of a dating show in which contestants do not know their counterparts' age or occupations. If contestants are not as fortunate, they are to remain on a beach called Inferno where they sleep in tents, make their own food, and politely wait for their ideal match to be available for a chat. Filled with drama, heart-wrenching, honest communication, and plenty of attractive people, Single's Inferno 2 makes viewers root for their favorites, cower at complete honesty, and reevaluate how they wish to navigate their own dating experience.
Zane, Forsberg (TTh) Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist 50
Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist is an episodic animated comedy series about the mediocre work life of Dr. Katz, interrupted with moments of Dr. Katz's son, Ben, and Dr. Katz's receptionist, Laura. The show features a main voice cast of Johnathan Katz, Laura Silverman, and H. Jon Benjamin of Bob's Burgers and Archer. The series is produced by Johnathan Katz, namesake and voice actor of the main character, and Tom Snyder, who went on to produce the similarly styled early 2000s Adult Swim series, Home Movies. The show relies on a unique style of comedy based on retro scripting, the process in which a scene is only given a start and ending, and the voice actors must improv their dialogue in between those two points. To complement this, the animation is very low budget in order to be made to fit with the actors' improv, and a technique known as squigglevision is used to reduce the feeling of a static frame. What Dr. Katz lacks in production value and audio quality, it makes up for with its unique style of comedy seldom replicated since the series' creation in 1995.

SpongeBob SquarePants is an animated comedy Tv series that most children around the early 2000s would grow up and watch. It is originally aired on Nickelodeon and animated by the king himself, Stephen Hillenburg. The show centers on the main character, SpongeBob SquarePants, and his array of land and sea friends in their town of Bikin Bottom. SpongeBob lives in a pineapple with his pet snail Gary and has a good gig at the most popular place in Bikini Bottom, The Krusty Krab. This series is known for SpongeBobs' bright and witty personality alongside his uneducated best friend, Patrick the Star. Patrick and SpongeBob are neighbors but have one obstacle between them, their arrogant and grumpy neighbor Squidward. The many episodes of this series speak for themselves when it comes to creativity and comical show, there is always a new plot in every episode along with uncontrollable laughter.
Montoya, Harrison (TTh) National Treasure: Edge of History 50
National Treasure: Edge of History is an adventure mystery spin off of the early 2000's movies National Treasure and National Treasure: Book of Secrets. The protagonists (Jess) and her friends inherit and find pieces of a treasure map that has been hidden by a group of women that were from the Aztec, Inacan, and Mayan tribes. Along the way they have to fend off the antagonist (Billy), crypto queen and billionaire, and her associates who are also on the hunt. The cast doesn't include many famous actors and actresses but does have cameos of the original movie stars including Justin Bartha (Riley Poole), Harvey Keitel (Peter Sudusky), and Armando Riesco ( Agent Hendricks). The story is full of twists and turns keeping the story interesting.

The Traitors is a reality tv show set in a castle in the Scottish Islands. The group starts out at 20, but then 3 people are quickly set apart from the rest of the group and named, "The Traitors." The watcher knows who the traitors are, but the other players don't. The traitors' mission is to go undetected from the rest of the group, also known as the "faithfuls." The group goes on crazy, challenging missions to win money and hopefully find suspicious behavior that will point them in the direction of the traitors. Every night there is a round table where the group gets to discuss who they think are the traitors and cast a vote.

The 7 Lives of Lea is an originally French show (Les 7 vies de Leo Balami) which has the option to be voiceover in English. The shows follow Lea after stumbling upon the remains of a young man, she instantly connects with the idea of who those remains could belong to. After finding these remains Lea wakes up in the 90s and body swaps seven times as she tries to solve the mystery of the remains while also attempting to prevent it.
Bernard, Harriet (TTh) Freaks And Geeks 50
Freaks And Geeks (1999-2000), created by Paul Feig and executive-produced by Judd Apatow is a teenage comedy-drama set in an American high school near Detroit, Michigan in 1980. The plot surrounds two friend groups in high school stemming from one 'typical' suburban family, the Weirs, starring older sister Lindsay (Linda Cardellini) and younger brother Sam (John Francis Daley). They both experience bonding together as siblings, as well as navigating their 'not so typical' friend groups, while also experiencing the difficulty of being in high school. She works and studies day and night, and becomes an elementary school teacher.

Flanagan, JP (TTh) Ink Master 50
Ink Master is a reality Tv show that features a few artists from across the country competing for the title "Ink Master" and a chance to win $100,000. The show is hosted by Dave Navaro a well-known guitarist and songwriter who is also a tattoo enthusiast. The show consists of the contestants competing in numerous challenges that are mainly tattoo based but can sometimes include other forms of art like graffiti and painting. Each episode brings its own unique challenges and creates a lot of drama between contestants as they are competing for a grand prize. I personally became fond of the show just because it is cool to see the work that goes into creating tattoos with even higher stakes. The contestants are judged by a group of accredited tattoo artists and the people who received the tattoo It can also be very informative as it teaches about the history of tattoos and different styles and creativity. The older episodes of the show are currently available to watch on Netflix and the new season is strictly on paramount.

Wife Swap is a reality tv series on the ABC network that aired in 2004 to 2010. Every episode there are two new families brought on the show to do the swap. From very different families with different lifestyles a wife/mother is taken from their family and is to swap lives with the other and be the new stand in wife of the opposite family for two weeks. During the first week the wives must follow the instructions left by the actual wife, thus seeing how they run their home. The following week they are then allowed to make their own rules and the family must abide. After the two weeks are over they return to their actual families and the wives meet and share their experiences and what they learned from each other's living situation which could be a good thing or a bad thing that may result in changes in their homes.

Young Royals is a show based in Sweden where the characters go to an expensive private school (private schools are not common in Northern Europe). The students at the school are mostly from either a noble family or the Swedish royal family. The main character, the Swedish prince, starts at the school and faces struggles like self-identity, mourning, alcohol and drug use, and overwhelming fame. As the prince goes along with his studies his responsibilities at the royal palace grow and so does his fame. He is unable to hide anything from the public and keeps facing scandals. This is a great show for anyone who enjoys a little bit of drama, but also love and relationships. It is very interesting with the Swedish royal family and how they handle fame.

The show The Worst Year of my Life, Again is an Australian TV show that lasted only one season. It is a comedy about a teenage boy. As a teenager, sometimes every other year feels like the worst year ever. For Alex King, he is forced to relive the worst year of his life over and he is determined to try to make it better. Between being bullied and rejected by girls, everything that can go wrong, does go wrong. With the help of his best friend, they attempt to turn the worst year ever into his best one yet. The main cast of characters are King and other teens who attend his small, private school. His family also makes appearances as his house tends to be a common space the show takes place at.

Escaping Polygamy is one of my favorite documentary/ reality TV series. It has 4 seasons and follows the religion known as polygamy and one of its biggest groups better known as "The Order" or the Kingston's. Polygamy is a plural marriage based on the premise that to get into the highest level of heaven, you must participate in plural marriage. This is basically one man with one legal wife and several "spiritual wives", being that actual plural marriage is illegal. The show follows a few prominent personalities, Jessica, Shanell, and Andrea. These women, as well as a few others, featured in other episodes, all escaped polygamy themselves at some point in their lives and have made a pact to help others who want to escape. These girls shine a light on a "religion" that actually checks enough boxes to be classified as a cult. These women show the truth behind this secretive religion and the brainwashing, neglect, and abuse that it actually thrives on. If you are a fan of documentaries, this is a great option. Not only do you get to see the experience of victims escaping, but you see them adjust to the real world, and hear their stories of what they experienced. This show is available on HULU, the Roku Channel, Pluto TV, and Lifetime.
Gamez, John (TTh) Chillin' Island 50
Chillin Island is a documentary/interview type of show that stars four New Yorkers who invite music artists to an overnight camping trip to reconnect with nature. They start in the morning and do outdoor activities like swimming, surfing, hiking all while talking to the music artist. By nighttime, the viewer usually gets a more inside look of these celebrity's lives, thoughts and personal stories. It's different in a way that puts these artists in adrenalized or anxious states that give a more candid and real response to the conversation about who they are or how they came to be. Invited guests include Ezra Koenig, Young Thug and Rosalia. The target audience would be the fans of these rappers or music artists, whether that be teens or young adults. It is on HBO Max and runs for one season, but hopefully gets renewed.
La Mothe, Brittyne (TTh) Rhythm and Flow 50
Rhythm and Flow is Netflix's first and original reality music competition released in 2019. Hip-hop stars Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and T.I are the judges that hop from their hometowns to try and find the next big thing in and for hip hop. The judges assess and grade unsigned and/or underground rappers competing for a $250,000 prize and a recording contract in this series. Other famous artists, producers, mentors in the music industry join the judges to provide the contestants with additional critique and insight.
Langston Michael'a (TTh) Distant Lands 50
Adventure Time: Distant Lands is an American animated miniseries based on the 2010-2018 animated series Adventure Time. This show takes us back to the land of Ooo and in each episode follows old and new characters. Viewers get a new look at the world they loved so much in the original series Adventure Time. Distant Lands is great for Adventure Time fans or people deciding if they want to watch Adventure Time as it gives origins to some characters and finales for others. Each of the four episodes are completely different but all of them are full of fun, action, adventure, and that good ole Adventure time oddness.
Tankersley, Josh (TTh) Living With Yourself 50
Living with Yourself tells an interesting story. It is about a guy who struggles with his at home life and work life. He meets a friend that sends him to a massage place that makes everyone their best selves. But he did not know he was actually getting cloned to be the perfect self. But something goes wrong after the clone is made and his real self comes back to life. So, there is the real Miles Elliot and the clone Miles. They eventually meet and are very shocked and try and find out a way to both live their life together. Because the clone is better than the real Miles at everything. But that ends up making the real Miles mad so he tries to get rid of him. After all that they end up finding out some news that leaves you on a huge cliff hanger at the end of season 1! The show aired in 2019 and is expected another season, it is by Paul Rudd and he is also the main character.

Neds Declassified school survival guide is a Nickelodeon young teen and children show that showcases the protagonist (Ned) on his adventures through school. The premise of the show revolves around his "survival guide" where he writes down quirky lessons and tips to survival school. Throughout the show we meet several goofy characters that are involved with Ned such as the classic nerd character, and the girl he's trying to get. This show aired in 2004 and would fall under the sitcom category as there were rarely established acting scenarios and more of witty fun situations for the characters to figure out.

Trigun tells the story of the legendary outlaw Vash the stampede. Vash has the biggest bounty in the word of Trigun, but we soon find out that this is not because he is a morally corrupt man who is taking advantage of the lawless land but rather for the unfortunate circumstances he gets into. He causes destruction everywhere he goes and even is responsible for the disappearance of an entire town. This destruction is almost never of his own doing but rather is a result of the bounty hunters coming to take claim to his head. Vash in fact is an outright pacifist refusing to ever enact harm on anyone. This among other things can often lead to him getting hurt but he would rather himself be gravely wounded than anyone else even receive a scratch.

Sanchez, Destany (MW) Oddballs 50
Oddballs is an animated series on Netflix by the creator Robert James Rallison, also known as theodd1sout on YouTube and co-creator Ethan Banville. The series follows James, a white blob-like person along with (most of the time) his best friend crocodile named Max, which ends up in many misadventures based on James' questions about social norms and everyday inconveniences that often result in disaster. James has always been the odd one out, but not anymore.

This series follows a psychic by the name of Maggie who holds the future in her hands… so she thinks. Maggie can see the future and one day she sees her own. Maggie first sees her own future in the show when she sees herself getting married and living a whole life with a stranger she's just meeting, so she gives him a chance excitedly. Once Maggie starts to believe this could be the one, she gets the same vision, only this time it reveals another woman in the visions, which Maggie takes as her sign to end things now before she gets hurt. She can see the future, so she can't be wrong, right? Except Maggie is indeed wrong and as the episodes go on, visions are revealed and come to life in the show, only showing that Maggie is misreading the messages she's receiving. However, this drink led those five people, Zoa, Aldo, Africa, Charly, and Ibon to hallucinate. When they woke up, they had zero recollection of what happened and everyone was missing except those who drank the Blue Eden drink. Led by drone, they are led to the Eden foundation civilization, not knowing they will eventually end up fighting for their lives to escape the cult.

Undone is an animated tv show that follows a woman named Alma who, following a tragic car accident, begins to travel through time and space. Garth, along with the remaining cast, is being interviewed throughout the show about their experiences making the fictional Television series Darkplace. The show intentionally uses poor production in numerous ways for its iconic comedy. Often cutting to very obvious voice-overs and blatant continuity errors for its punchlines, the show offers a unique viewing experience I haven't found anywhere else. It only lasted for one season in 2006 and can be viewed in its entirety for free on YouTube.

The miniseries Hollywood follows a group of aspiring actors, film writers, film directors, and studio owners who are chasing their dreams to make it big during the Golden Age in the post-World War II era. This group is so dedicated to achieve their goals that they would do anything even if it means continuously cheating on your significant other to earn some extra money at a full-service gas station. The show does a fantastic job representing how Hollywood was back in the day and covers how homosexuality and racism was viewed during this era and the challenges that actors back then most likely went through while they chased their dreams. It's a show full of color, character, drama, love, and inspiration and I think it's worth watching.

Rules of Engagement is a sit-com made in the late 2000's and early 2010's that relates with two other more popular sit-coms, "Friends" and "How I Met Your Mother". The show is based around a group of friends that all portray different takes on relationships. On one hand you are introduced to a married couple of twelve years who's obviously pass the honeymoon stage, while on the other hand you have a younger, more modern, couple who quickly got engaged not long after meeting and is trying to learn everything on the fly. The two couples different takes on marriage intertwining with each other can be complicated enough but, you have the third take still. David Spade plays the role of the older bachelor who doesn't seem to want to grow up and definitely puts his 2 cents in all the "marriage" and dating matters.

Joe Pera, who plays a fictionalized version of himself, takes the viewer through seemingly mundane situations and makes them special through his soft-spoken humor and unique perspective. Such situations include: reading church announcements, going to the grocery store, and building a chair. While most Adult Swim programs may be crude and edgy, "Joe Pera Talks with You" is a stark contrast as its tone is sincere and free of cynicism. The children operate robots known as FRANXX in order to face these monsters because they believe that is their purpose in life. Among them was a boy who was once called a child prodigy: Code number 016, Hiro. However, now he's a failure and considered unneeded. Children who cannot pilot FRANXX basically do not exist. With him failing to fulfil his purpose, a girl with pink hair comes crashing and red horns comes in to change everything.

Dan Vs. is an adult animated tv show that was made in the early 2010s and ran on The Hub. It only ran for three seasons from 2011 to 2013 having 53 episodes and you can currently stream it on Plex TV or buy all three seasons on Amazon Prime. Dan Vs. is a comedy show that is about the main protagonist Dan. But, instead of being a nice and worthy protagonist, he is a cranky and rude person, who thinks that everyone and everything is against him. There are two side characters which includes Dans best friend Chris and her wife Elise. Every episode is a wacky and wild ride when you see Dan try to face off some of his fears or just things and people that he thinks are making his life harder. Zamora, Sergio (TTh) The Bear 50
A young talented chef who comes from the world of fine dining has to return home to run his brother's beef sandwich shop after his older brother's unsuspected suicide. The main character, Camry, "Bear" (Jeremy Allen White) has to take on the task of making his brother's failing business a success. Carmy unfortunately not only gets handed a failed business but a ton of debt and a very dysfunctional crew who he tries to teach the ways of the fine dining industry. The show is a dark comedy full of drama that deals with a tense, anxiety-driven work environment with the stress and emotional trauma of losing a loved one. The Bear season 1 is now streaming on Hulu and FX.
Lopez, Robert (TTh) The Rehearsal 50
The Rehearsal is an exploration on human nature, relationships, and the fear that comes with them. Without giving away too much, the basis of the show is that Nathan Fielder gives people the option to rehearse whatever scenario they want over and over. Once they have the rehearsal nailed down, they go into the actual scenario and let it play out, hopefully exactly how they planned. The show blurs the line between reality and fiction and shows just how easy one can be the other.

Kruk, Kaylie (MW) Gilmore Girls 50
Gilmore Girls introduces a young, single mother, Lorelai Gilmore, and her 16-year-old daughter, Rory Gilmore, in a very small and very unique town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. The mother and daughters' relationship are one like no other due to their quippy banter which makes the show so fun to watch. The audience quickly discovers that Lorelai grew up in a rich home with her parents, Richard and Emily, but felt very suffocated by that lifestyle, especially after getting pregnant at 16 years old. Therefore, she has much ambition to make something of herself without her parents help like having a dream to open her own inn with her best friend, Sookie St. James. The audience first gets to see Rory as this bookworm and goody two-shoes until she is hit with the reality of having her first love. Rory journeys through the struggles of being a new girl at school, trying to navigate a new relationship, and keeping her relationship with her mom the number one priority in her life. Almost every episode with see the beloved side characters to Lorelai and Rory's life including, Luke Danes, the diner owner who secretly has a thing for Lorelai, Michel Gerard, the hilariously sarcastic and grumpy French man that works the front desk at the inn with Lorelai, Lane Kim, Rory's best friend who loves to keep things a secret from her strict mother, and Paris Geller, Rory's feisty school frenemy. Mulisa, Sasha (TT) Hightown 50
Hightown is a crime and drama set in Provincetown, Massachusetts. It follows a few different characters. The main character is Jackie Quinones played by Monica Raymond. She is a fishery services agent who one day discovers a dead body on the beach after a night of hard partying. She is also an alcoholic who constantly struggles with her drinking and addiction issues throughout the show. The show ultimately deals with drugs being dealt with in Provincetown leading to an increasing number of deaths as well as substance abuse issues that a few characters in the show face.

We know the girls survived a harrowing winter, but through... strange circumstances. As we switch between the past and the present, the dangerous truth slowly unravels.

This anime is set in a dark and gritty world full of what some would consider failed experiments, called the Hole. Kaiman ends up in the Hole after one day being transformed from man to a lizard creature by an evil sorcerer and is on the hunt for revenge with his companion Nikaido to find out who did it and defeat them. It's a great blend of comedy and gory action all at the same time with some of the most unique character design I've seen in a long time. It is available to stream on Netflix and ended in 2020.

"The Girl from Plainville" is a drama that just recently aired on Hulu. This is a series based on a true story regarding Michelle Carter's "texting-suicide" case. This show explains Michelle's relationship with Conrad who ends up taking his own life and goes into depth regarding the events that led up to his death as well as Michelle's involvement in what happened to Conrad.
