Day 5 is Rooster Teeth Production's (based in Austin, TX) first drama series the studio has produced. The show is set in the immediate aftermath of a fatal sleep epidemic. After a drug bender saves his life, an addict named Jake ventures out into the quiet streets unaware that most of the world already died in their beds. Battling fatigue and encountering delirium, Jake teams up with a teenager, doctor, and a red-eye pilot to search for answers and hopefully a way to sleep again. Set in a world of insomniacs, late-shift workers, and psychotics, Day 5 presents a unique vision of the apocalypse that brings together drama and thriller around a story of survival and redemption.

The series is written by executive producers Matt Hullum, Burnie Burns (whom you may have saw on the latest season of "The Amazing Race" alongside his girlfriend Ashley), and Joel Heyman with assistance from Miles Luna and Chris Demarais. Day 5 is directed by Josh Flanagan.
