Sense8 is an American science fiction series created by Lilly and Lana Wachowski. The show explores subjects such as politics, identity, sexuality, gender and religion which are not normally emphasized in most science fiction shows. Sense8 tells the story of eight strangers who are each from a different culture from all around the world. The eight strangers are connected when they all experience a vision of a violent death of a woman named Angelica. The strangers then realize that they are connected by a mental and emotional link, allowing them to communicate and sense each other, as well as share their language, skills and knowledge. The first season of Sense8 became available to Netflix streamers on June 5, 2015, and was renewed for a second season in August of 2015. Sense8 won the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Drama
