Dragon Tales is a show that I used to love and still occasionally watch on PBS. The show originally came out in 1999 and continued to have new episodes until 2005. Two young children find a magical scale in their new room and figure out if they wish upon it they can go to a land of dragons. Martinez, John (MW) We Bare Bears 100

"We Bare Bears" is an American animated show which started off as a webcomic called "The Three Bare Bears created by Daniel Chong. The show centers around three bears named Grizzly, Panda, and Ice Bear who are trying to fit into human society. Living just outside of San Francisco the bears come into contact with plenty of humans which leads the bears to mimc the things the humans do; they get smart phones, dabble in online dating, open up a food truck, and watch cute cat videos on their version of Youtube. Though the bears get some into some awkward and funny situations while trying to fit in the show will have flash back episodes to when they were cubs that offer up both cute and emotional moments for the viewer to enjoy. The show was pitched by Daniel Chong and is now the executive producer of the show itself. Kalbitz, Kathryn (TTH) Mercy Street 10

Mercy Street is a PBS show based on the civil war-era that is centered around a hospital and the rise of alliances and their inevitable failures. This "hospital" is actually a hotel in Alexandria, Va. that has been converted into a hospital by the Union Army. The main character is a volunteer abolitionist nurse named, Mary. It is a show centered around loyalty and the lack there of in this hotel turned hospital during an extremely controversial time in American history. I think this show is extremely diverse due to its "history channel" type feel and alluring dramatic twists. This is why I'd like to share it with the class.

This is a show about David and Tamela Mann. A married couple who have gained notoriety for many films and plays that they've done. This show goes behind the scenes of there life and talks about the many different things that they face as a marrie couple in the television world. Ross, Tamara (TTh), Shannara Chronicles 100

Shannara Chronicles is a weird, pumped up science fiction show on Netflix, and really of the first one of its kind. Netflix was the first to become this massive streaming entity that took over our lives, and I feel that way about this show, as well. In an era of digital media, the technology they used to develop the monsters and demons in this show is beyond its time. I'm pitching it to you because despite the shows you've seen, this is in a different realm, in the world of elves and demons, and a magical tree that holds the essence to life. Difficult people is about two best friends, Julie and Billy, who live in New York City and are aspiring comedians. The pair of friends are bitter and lack common courtesy to the people around them. It appears that they've become this way because majority of their friends have outgrown the stage of life that they are currently in- less than ideal careers, unmarried, no children, and basically unsuccessful in life thus far. The stars real names are actually the same first names of their characters- Julie Kessler and Billy Epstein. The executive producers are Amy Poehler, Dave Becky, and Michele Armor. Since this series is a Hulu original- it's paid for through subscription to Hulu as well as advertising. There are currently two seasons.

Beltran, Elliott (TTH) The Path 100

The Path is an American Drama that released this year in the summer. The show is based on the people in a cult or ministry group and one man who had a vision. Eddie Lane, who is acted out by Aaron Paul, struggles in his beliefs after his vision in a retreat in a foreign country. From what he experienced, he doesn't want to reveal his beliefs and disappoint his family nor his group. Other than his beliefs, he dislikes the regulations after his friend took charge of the group that sound more a lot like a vague cult. He is forced to make choices between his beliefs and his family. The show began production in 2015 titled The Way but was soon changed to The Path. In 2016, Hulu debuted the show. Hulu renewed the show for a second season. The Strain is a tv series on FX started in 2014. It is based on a novel written by Guillermo del Toro who also serves as the show's primary executive producer. Just as in the novel the story revolves around certain characters as New York City begins to be taken over by vampires. The show even uses flashbacks to the Holocaust to show how the epidemic started. The show has been nominated for 13 various awards and won 2 of those. In today's society, alcoholism has plagued many people. Chip, played by Will Arnett, is an AA Sponsor helping others quit their addiction with stories of his experience. Chip, who tells his clients he's been sober for quite sometime, preaches that it's never too late to make that change, and that he has taken the life of another human being while drinking and driving. Things get interesting when years later, the victims sister, London, moves to town and falls in love with Chip before know who he truly is. Seems like Chip is now the one who needs a bit of help with his past. This new series is produced by Will Arnett, Mitchell Hurwitz, Kathy O'Connell, Tiffany Sipantzi Moore, and Peter Principato. Wally Pfister, Tom DiCillo, Josh Gordon, and Will Speck each help out in directing the TV show. The full first season of this 'dramedy' can be watched all at once on Netflix.

Black Sails takes place on the island of New providence, the former British colony. Now Pirates rule the Island and the Queen Smuggler Eleanor Guthrie has the ways to turn the pirates prizes from the high seas of the Caribbean to gold and silver. There are many twists and turns in the series but the show focuses on the journey of Captain Flint, a former British Royal Navy officer turner pirate and his struggle to survive being hunted by the British and his quest for the massive treasure held in the Spanish treasure galleon the Urca De Lima. The executive producer of black sails is Michael Bay. Black sails appears on the American Premium cable and satellite television network which is a flagship property of Starz Inc. So cable subscribers pay for the show.

RuPaul's Drag Race is an American reality competition tv-series on the network Logo. It is a way for gay men who are Drag Queens, men who do female impersonation, to compete in different areas of drag such as: lip-syncing, look, and performance. They do all of this in hopes for fame, glory, and to win the cash prize of $100,000. The show is hosted by RuPaul Charles, the most recognizable drag queen alive today. It is aired on a LGBT+ network, which focuses their main demographic on the LGBT+ community. The show is currently in its 8th season, already renewed for season 9, and has 2 seasons of a spin-off series 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars'.

Limitless, a TV series stars your average post college screw up, a 28 year old by the name of Brian Finch (Jake McDorman) who hasn't accomplished a lot in life yet. Until he discovers the brain enhancing drug, NZT-48. The drug gives one the ability to unlock the full potential of your brain which is used for good as long as good people have it that is. Brian falls into the hands of the FBI as a consultant. He must keep the drug a secret from just about everybody though, at least about some things and that includes the FBI. The senator, Eddward Morra (Bradley Cooper) holds the occasional shot that keeps Brian alive from the deadly side effects. The FBI find him so valuable because they believe he is immune to the side effects. The series is a direct sequel based on the 2011 film with the same name. Limitless was picked up by CBS on October 23,2015 for a full season of 22 episodes. The series turns into a maze of plot twist and turns with all the secrets.

This show has a different aspect of reality Merlin's shows let ones mind venture into fancy and you can be creative also. This show is a way you can escape and relax to get away from reality. There isn't a dull moment you will see romance, Merlin's troubles he gets himself into and comedy.

We all loved High School Musical for it quirkiness and the power to bring out the teenager in us. Well Young and Hungry will bring you right back to the feeling. Executive Producer and former High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale created a one of a kind show starring Emily Osment as Gabi, who is a young chef in big city trying to figure out a way of income with her best friend Sofia. Seibert, Nathan (TTh) Tokyo Ghoul 100

Tokyo Ghoul is an anime television series by Studio Pierrot aired between July and September of 2014 followed by a second season that aired from January 8, 2015, to March 26, 2015. The executive producer is Gen Fukunaga. Tokyo Ghoul follows Ken Kaneki, a shy, bookish college student, who is instantly drawn to Rize Kamishiro, an avid reader like himself. However, Rize is not exactly who she seems, and this unfortunate meeting pushes Kaneki into the dark depths of the ghouls' inhuman world. In a twist of fate, Kaneki is saved by the enigmatic waitress Touka Kirishima, and thus begins his new, secret life as a half-ghoul/half-human who must find a way to integrate into both societies. Tokyo Ghoul is a completed series but it can still be viewed on Hulu.

Hannibal is an American psychological horror show created by Bryan Fuller. It originally aired from 2013-15 on NBC. The series is based on a collection of novels by Thomas Harris, including Red Dragon, Hannibal, and Hannibal Rising. The show follows FBI special investigator Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and his ever-evolving relationship with renowned psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen.) The events of Hannibal are a prequel to the well known film (and another Harris novel) The Silence of the Lambs. Lecter, who is secretly a cannibalistic serial killer in his own right, starts to manipulate the FBI from within, all the while driving Will to potentially become a killer himself.

Traveling to and from different countries such as the UK, Ireland, and France these three men are willing to draw out any "spirits" that have been known to haunt the location. Almost Royal is a BBC comedy that follows the lives of two clueless British aristocrats, Georgie and Poppy Carlton, granting their father's dying wish that his children visit the country he loved so dearly. The Carlton siblings leave their home of England and hit the road documenting every step of their journey across the United States. I enjoy watching this show because it's funny and it takes you on their adventure where they interact with real-life, unsuspecting everyday Americans.

King, Brandon (TR) Resident Advisors 10

Resident Advisors is a hilarious Hulu original series that I first discovered a year ago. It follows a group of resident advisors in a newly constructed dorm as well as all of the mostly freshman who stay in the dorm. It deals with real life issues that many new college kids moving away from home go through while also being outrageously funny and inappropriate at times. It's clear why the show is something that we as students can relate to and while it is a comedy I believe it does help deal or better understand issues dealt with in college.

Harris, Taelor (TTh) Outlander 100

Outlander is a television drama series on Starz. It premiered on August 9, 2014. The show follows a British Army nurse in World War 2, 1945, who travels back in time to Scotland in the year 1743. Claire, the protagonist, desperately tries to go back to her time to reunite with her husband. However, to ensure her survival, she is forced to marry Jamie Fraser. Throughout the show, Jamie and Claire fall in love with each other, which leaves Claire caught between two men, one from the future and the other from the past. The Executive Producer is Ronald D. Moore. In 2012, Sony Pictures Television secured the rights to the show, with Moore developing the project and Jim Kohlberg Co-producing. Outlander is based off of the popular books written by Diana Gabaldon. The reason why Outlander is such an amazing show is because it grabs the audience attention by having a great story and is perfect for people who are hopeless romantic. Also, the show has outstanding visuals and dialogue and will always keep you guessing on whats going to happen next. Outlander is currently in production for season 3 that will premiere on April 1, 2017.

The Librarians is a show on the TNT network through cable. It is about these librarians who work in the Metropolitan Library, but under the library is where the real magic happens. It premiered December 7, 2014. Season 3 will premiere in November 2016. It is a great show for people who love myths in general. It is sort of the American version of the Doctor Who series. 60 Days In is a docuseries on A&E. It premiered on March 10, 2016. It is known as The Jail: 60 Days In internationally and airs in over 100 other territories. The series follows seven individuals as they volunteer to go undercover, spending 60 days as inmates in the Clark County Jail in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Their goal is to obtain evidence of questionable or illegal activities within the jail that might be missed by the Correctional Officers and surveillance systems. The existence of the undercover program is kept secret from the inmates, the guards, and most of the jail officials. Prior to entering the jail, the volunteers receive instruction on how to act around other inmates, and they are each given a pseudonym and a cover story, including details of the (fake) criminal charges on which they were arrested. Zoo is based on the #1 bestselling novel by James Patterson. This exciting and suspenseful series takes you along with Jackson Oz and his team as they investigate violent animal attacks that are happening around the world. As these attacks become more frequent, vicious, and coordinated, Oz and his team must find out what is causing the animals to act this way and how to stop them. Master of None is not your conventional television show, instead of having Hollywood sprinkle is glamour all over life's bumpy places, the producer, and star of the show, Aziz Ansari tells life like it really is for Dan, a 30 year old actor finding his way through life in New York City. Ansari, known for his comedy, does a phenomenal job at scripting the realities of life right from the beginning. The Pilot episode shows his character Dev, and Dev's hook up for the night, Rachel, having some bedroom fun- but things go awry and they both end up at the local drug store to purchase Plan B. The show is raw, interesting, and shines a light on what it's like for those who are trying to make it in the business who may not be your typical lead criteria. The show is a Netflix Original and is scheduled to release season two in 2017.

The 1950's were a incredibly controversial time in wartime Great Britain. The beginning of The Bletchley circle highlights the lives and work of four women largely responsible for breaking down German codes for The United Kingdom's Military during WWII. The basis of the plot consists of the women 7 years in the future working secretively on a string of murders in the London area. This is a period movie and accurately depicts lives of British women during this time. This miniseries was produced for ITV but then cut and so it was moved to The United States PBS. This comedic show starring Rashida Jones of Parks and Recreation takes satire to entirely new levels of hilarity. In "F is for Family, viewers follow the lives of the Murphy family in an animated sitcom placed during the 1970's. A big part about the show uses a nostalgia factor to appeal to older audiences that are old enough to remember the time period, and appreciate the satirical look at the 70's the show's creators are going for. Even viewers that aren't old enough to remember the 70's will be able to enjoy the raunchy, ridiculous comedy of the show that tends to follow something close to what animated shows like Family Guy and American Dad go for. It's thanks to a partnership between Netflix, Gaumont International Television, and Wild West Television that the show's creation came about. The show's executive producers include Vince Vaughn, Peter Billingsley, and Bill Burr, who's standup comedy provided the the basis for much of the show's material. Burr's idea for the show, in his own words, revolved around going back to a "time when you could smack your kid, smoke inside, and bring a gun to an airport." The show's available to anyone subscribed to Netflix, the online streaming service.

This political comedy/drama chronicles the all too familiar quest of a presidential hopeful, whom happens to also be a former First Lady and the Governor of Illinois, Elaine Barrish (Sigourney Weaver). Barrish loses in the primary's to a younger and reinvigorating candidate, and later assumes the role of Secretary of State in the new administration. The mini series follows the Secretary and her dysfunctional family through political scandals, diplomacy issues, and butting family dynamics. The series was produced by Greg Berlanti and Laurence Mark and the production company Warner Horizon Television. The show aired on the USA network in 2012 as a mini series and had plans to renew as a series, but was not renewed by the network.

As a disguise, the killer uses the university's Red Devil mascot. The sorority is led by the top bitch, Chanel Oberlin whose constantly threatened by Dean Munsch.
