Adam Ruins Everything is based on a web comedy series CollegeHumor, hosted by the same guy Adam Conover, now it's a half hour tv show you can find on TruTV. In the show, Adam debunks misconceptions and certain truths in various fields in each episode such as vitamin supplements are not real, car dealerships are evil, funerals are a rip off, lie detectors don't detect lies, rigging elections is completely legal and many more. In this skit based show, Adam can back up his lectures, by showing articles on the screen which the audience can look up themselves. Adam also has appearances from actual scientist, doctors, and other experts to confirm his lectures to which he ends his episodes of how there are ways to improve in these fields.
