Pit bulls and Parolees is an American reality television series that has had over 100 episodes and is in its seventh season on Animal Planet. The series made its first debut on October 30th, 2009. Executive producers, Lisa Lucas and Rasha Drachkouitch, join forces with Tia Torres pit bull trainer and founder of the Villalobos Rescue Center—which was originally located in Aqua Dulce, California, but is now located to New Orleans, Louisiana—rescue, rehabilitate and retrain more than 400 pit bulls. Along side these misunderstood animals, is a half-dozen ex-convicts on parole. Both men, and what should be known as man's best friend, are being given a second chance to prove themselves and fight against some of the biggest stereotypes in society.
