While EMTs are all business when they are in their professional posts, their personal lives can be the exact opposite. Johnny leads a crew of Chicago EMTs that includes his outspoken best friend, Hank, and an eager new recruit, Brian. They can handle any life-threatening situation that ends up in their ambulance. Chicago PD officer Theresa, who is Johnny's love interest provides a strong yet funny female perspective to counter the men's antics. The comedy series comes from the comedic mind of executive producer Denis Leary ("Rescue Me").
