The series I would like to present is called, "The Get Down". It is produced and directed by Baz Lahrmann the creator of many great films such as: Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rogue!, and The Great Gatsby. "The Get Down", is a story of young adults growing up in the Brox during the 1970's; The rise of disco and hip hop are centered around the violence occurring at the time with racial tensions. It will be presented as a dramatic musical. The series will be in two parts. The first six episodes will release August 12, 2016 on Netflix and the second half has yet to be announced.
