Producer José Alberto Castro's, Rubí, is a telenovela series aired on the advertiser-based network, Televisa. It stars Bárbara Mori as Rubi, a sultry character that is stricken in poverty. Rubí is a big fan of luxury, but it is the one thing she cannot have. When she meets her very wealthy friend, Maribel, she does her best to get the one thing she wants in the whole world, money. She begins for her search for wealth by very cunningly mooching off of poor disabled Maribel but it was not enough for her. Once Rubí sees all the rich men that become a part of Maribel's life, she takes charge and uses her seductiveness and sly plans to get the life of her dreams.
