Are You the One? is a reality dating show on MTV produced by Howard Schultz, Rob LaPlante and Jeff Spangler. Are You the One? premiered in January 2014 and has since produced 3 seasons. This show is a social experiment designed to help 10 men and 10 women find their perfect match. After 20 singles are chosen they go through in depth interviews, compatibility tests and questionnaires to find their perfect match. These 20 singles that are chosen will then go to a tropical destination to live together. Each week the 20 singles will complete a challenge with whoever they believe their perfect match is. The winners of the challenge will then go on date to and have the chance to test their match in the "truth booth." The "truth booth" is the only way to test a perfect match. Each epson ends with a matching ceremony and the couples will be told how many perfect matches they have but not who they are. In the end of the show if the cast choses all 10 matches correctly they will win $1 million to split among them.
