Pandemic is a new documentary series that came out in 2020 about the disastrous damage a widespread flu outbreak would cause. Pandemic follows doctors working on flu vaccines and talks about ways we can prevent an influenza pandemic from occurring. The show also hypothetically shows how fast a flu outbreak could spread and how deadly it could be. The documentary crew talk about the last time influenza broke out heavily and how damaging it was, as well as the new strains of the flu that are developing. This documentary series also touches on the controversial issue of vaccination and how dangerous it is to not vaccinate people for the rest of the population, while also showing the point of view from those who are anti-vaccination. Pandemic addresses all of the implications of a major outbreak of influenza because, as repeated in the documentary, "it's not a matter of if we have another pandemic, its when." This series has one season of six episodes and looks at the implications of the flu virus from doctors, patients, and many other angles.
