Hip Hop Evolution is a Netflix documentary series. This documentary so far has four seasons which explains the evolution of hip hop and how hip hop has played a role for all races but particularly African American. During this series it illuminates how hip hop is used to express struggles, adversity, and way to connect to others. The way this documentary is set up is that starts with the beginning of the hip hop and how it started then it transitions to how we got to where we are today in the hip hop industry. This documentary shows how hip hop is forever innovating within itself. The artist that plays a huge role throughout this series ranges from DJ Kool Herc, Sugergang Hill, Run D.M.C, Ice Cube, Kayne West, Etc.
