Death Note is a Japanese manga series that ventures the life of high school
student Light Yagami who one day stumbles upon a supernatural book
dropped by a deity. Once in possession of the book you are able to write
the name of anyone as well as a description of their death and they
will then be executed in that exact way. At the start he begins by just
murdering the the likes of prisoners and people who do bad, but he then
spirals out of controls and his lust for blood gets stronger and
stronger with every stroke of the pen he makes, where he then starts
killing for his own benefit. You also explore an elite task force trying
to solve the crime of these bizarre deaths, that end in a crazy twist
