The Rain is an ominous, sci-fi Netflix original that takes place in Scandinavia. It first premiered in May of 2018 and plans to release its third and final season this year. In the language of Danish, the siblings Simone and Rasmus have faced the end of the world as a rain-carried virus destroyed civilizations and society as a whole. Leaving the safety of their shelter, the siblings emerge into the remains of the world and join a group of strangers for survival. As they feel relieved to freedom, they face individual and personal trials as coming-of-age youth, whilst being in a post-apocalyptic world.
