Clary Fray's (Katherine McNamara) whole world changes on her eighteenth birthday. She discovers she is a Shadowhunter, a human born with angelic blood who protects humans from demons. Her mother, Jocelyn (Maxim Roy), is taken by a group of rogue Shadowhunters called the Circle. Clary is forced to rely on a stranger named Jace (Dominic Sherwood) and his allies Isabelle (Emeraude Toubia) and Alec (Matthew Daddario) to help guide her through the dark world. Clary's best friend Simon (Alberto Rosende) helps her reveal answers that could help her uncover the location of her mother. During the journey Clary also discovers some secrets of her own. This Freeform series is based off of the young adult books by Cassandra Clare. The executive producers for this show are Don Carmody and David Cormican.
