The Comeback is a dramatic comedy that originally premiered on HBO June 5, 2005. Starring Lisa Kudrow, of FRIENDS fame, as Valerie Cherish. Once a successful actress, now lacking in work, she takes a spot on a sitcom to revitalize her career. Shot as behind the scenes footage, In the first season we follow her and filming of her new show because "reality TV is the next big thing". The show originally flopped and was cancelled after a 13 episode first season. 9 years later the show was picked back up, and in the second season we see her bringing back her reality show as she takes us on a journey of bad humor and horrible TV writing and we see how her goals of her career affect her interactions with the people she surrounds herself with.
