Dragon Tales is a show that I used to love and still occasionally watch on PBS. The show originally came out in 1999 and continued to have new episodes until 2005. Two young children find a magical scale in their new room and figure out if they wish upon it they can go to a land of dragons. Martinez, John (MW) We Bare Bears 100

"We Bare Bears" is an American animated show which started off as a webcomic called "The Three Bare Bears created by Daniel Chong. The show centers around three bears named Grizzly, Panda, and Ice Bear who are trying to fit into human society. Living just outside of San Francisco the bears come into contact with plenty of humans which leads the bears to mimc the things the humans do; they get smart phones, dabble in online dating, open up a food truck, and watch cute cat videos on their version of Youtube. Though the bears get some into some awkward and funny situations while trying to fit in the show will have flash back episodes to when they were cubs that offer up both cute and emotional moments for the viewer to enjoy. The show was pitched by Daniel Chong and is now the executive producer of the show itself. Kalbitz, Kathryn (TTH) Mercy Street 10

Mercy Street is a PBS show based on the civil war-era that is centered around a hospital and the rise of alliances and their inevitable failures. This "hospital" is actually a hotel in Alexandria, Va. that has been converted into a hospital by the Union Army. The main character is a volunteer abolitionist nurse named, Mary. It is a show centered around loyalty and the lack there of in this hotel turned hospital during an extremely controversial time in American history. I think this show is extremely diverse due to its "history channel" type feel and alluring dramatic twists. This is why I'd like to share it with the class.

This is a show about David and Tamela Mann. A married couple who have gained notoriety for many films and plays that they've done. This show goes behind the scenes of there life and talks about the many different things that they face as a marrie couple in the television world. Ross, Tamara (TTh), Shannara Chronicles 100

Shannara Chronicles is a weird, pumped up science fiction show on Netflix, and really of the first one of its kind. Netflix was the first to become this massive streaming entity that took over our lives, and I feel that way about this show, as well. In an era of digital media, the technology they used to develop the monsters and demons in this show is beyond its time. I'm pitching it to you because despite the shows you've seen, this is in a different realm, in the world of elves and demons, and a magical tree that holds the essence to life. Schmidt, Shaeleigh (TTh) Difficult People 10

Difficult people is about two best friends, Julie and Billy, who live in New York City and are aspiring comedians. The pair of friends are bitter and lack common courtesy to the people around them. It appears that they've become this way because majority of their friends have outgrown the stage of life that they are currently in- less than ideal careers, unmarried, no children, and basically unsuccessful in life thus far. The stars real names are actually the same first names of their characters- Julie Kessler and Billy Epstein. The executive producers are Amy Poehler, Dave Becky, and Michele Armor. Since this series is a Hulu original- it's paid for through subscription to Hulu as well as advertising. There are currently two seasons.

Beltran, Elliott (TTH) The Path 100

The Path is an American Drama that released this year in the summer. The show is based on the people in a cult or ministry group and one man who had a vision. Eddie Lane, who is acted out by Aaron Paul, struggles in his beliefs after his vision in a retreat in a foreign country. From what he experienced, he doesn't want to reveal his beliefs and disappoint his family nor his group. Other than his beliefs, he dislikes the regulations after his friend took charge of the group that sound more a lot like a vague cult. He is forced to make choices between his beliefs and his family. The show began production in 2015 titled The Way but was soon changed to The Path. In 2016, Hulu debuted the show. Hulu renewed the show for a second season. Five beautiful social media sisters that are very popular on Instagram have their own reality television show that reveals to the world what they do on their professional and personal side. You get to see what these Instagram model sisters do in real life and see how they interact with one another and others outside their circle on TV. Each sister has their own unique story share and all play a big part in their TV show The #Westbrook. Some say these sisters are rivalries with the Kardashians because they both are gorgeous, popular, and stylish sisters.

Riley, Michael (MW) The Strain 100

The Strain is a tv series on FX started in 2014. It is based on a novel written by Guillermo del Toro who also serves as the show's primary executive producer. Just as in the novel the story revolves around certain characters as New York City begins to be taken over by vampires. The show even uses flashbacks to the Holocaust to show how the epidemic started. The show has been nominated for 13 various awards and won 2 of those. Idahosa, Andrew (TTh) Flaked 100

In today's society, alcoholism has plagued many people. Chip, played by Will Arnett, is an AA Sponsor helping others quit their addiction with stories of his experience. Chip, who tells his clients he's been sober for quite sometime, preaches that it's never too late to make that change, and that he has taken the life of another human being while drinking and driving. Things get interesting when years later, the victims sister, London, moves to town and falls in love with Chip before know who he truly is. Seems like Chip is now the one who needs a bit of help with his past. This new series is produced by Will Arnett, Mitchell Hurwitz, Kathy O'Connell, Tiffany Sipantzi Moore, and Peter Principato. Wally Pfister, Tom DiCillo, Josh Gordon, and Will Speck each help out in directing the TV show. The full first season of this 'dramedy' can be watched all at once on Netflix.

Black Sails takes place on the island of New providence, the former British colony. Now Pirates rule the Island and the Queen Smuggler Eleanor Guthrie has the ways to turn the pirates prizes from the high seas of the Caribbean to gold and silver. There are many twists and turns in the series but the show focuses on the journey of Captain Flint, a former British Royal Navy officer turner pirate and his struggle to survive being hunted by the British and his quest for the massive treasure held in the Spanish treasure galleon the Urca De Lima. The executive producer of black sails is Michael Bay. Black sails appears on the American Premium cable and satellite television network which is a flagship property of Starz Inc. So cable subscribers pay for the show.

RuPaul's Drag Race is an American reality competition tv-series on the network Logo. It is a way for gay men who are Drag Queens, men who do female impersonation, to compete in different areas of drag such as: lip-syncing, look, and performance. They do all of this in hopes for fame, glory, and to win the cash prize of $100,000. The show is hosted by RuPaul Charles, the most recognizable drag queen alive today. It is aired on a LGBT+ network, which focuses their main demographic on the LGBT+ community. The show is currently in its 8th season, already renewed for season 9, and has 2 seasons of a spin-off series 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars'.

Cambron, Nicholas (TTH) Limitless 100

Limitless, a TV series stars your average post college screw up, a 28 year old by the name of Brian Finch (Jake McDorman) who hasn't accomplished a lot in life yet. Until he discovers the brain enhancing drug, NZT-48. The drug gives one the ability to unlock the full potential of your brain which is used for good as long as good people have it that is. Brian falls into the hands of the FBI as a consultant. He must keep the drug a secret from just about everybody though, at least about some things and that includes the FBI. The senator, Eddward Morra (Bradley Cooper) holds the occasional shot that keeps Brian alive from the deadly side effects. The FBI find him so valuable because they believe he is immune to the side effects. The series is a direct sequel based on the 2011 film with the same name. Limitless was picked up by CBS on October 23,2015 for a full season of 22 episodes. The series turns into a maze of plot twist and turns with all the secrets.

This BBC series shows the dramatic outcomes of living in a land of myth and a time of magic, putting a new spin on the story of the famous sorcerer Merlin (Colin Morgan). Set in the Kingdom of Camelot, the story follows young Merlin's dangerous journey as he, a young prince Arthur (Bradley James) and other characters come face to face with legendary and fantastical foes and forces. In this show it is set during the time of the renaissance time period and see how they lived then. This show has a different aspect of reality Merlin's shows let ones mind venture into fancy and you can be creative also. This show is a way you can escape and relax to get away from reality. There isn't a dull moment you will see romance, Merlin's troubles he gets himself into and comedy.

We all loved High School Musical for it quirkiness and the power to bring out the teenager in us. Well Young and Hungry will bring you right back to the feeling. Executive Producer and former High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale created a one of a kind show starring Emily Osment as Gabi, who is a young chef in big city trying to figure out a way of income with her best friend Sofia. She unexpectedly lands a job for one of the biggest technology/app inventors of the world and is quickly spun into a number of situations that she brings upon her self. She is smart, funny, clumsy and sometimes an airhead but the audience learns to love her. She soon begins to fall in love with her boss and we all know that situations like that quickly complicate things. Young and Hungry has three other executive producers excluding Ms.Tisdale; David Holden, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jessica Horowitz. Young and Hungry is funded by CBS Television Studios and it premiered on June 2014 on Freeform (formally named ABC Family) but you can watch all of the current up to date seasons on Netflix.

Seibert, Nathan (TTh) Tokyo Ghoul 100

Tokyo Ghoul is an anime television series by Studio Pierrot aired between July and September of 2014 followed by a second season that aired from January 8, 2015, to March 26, 2015. The executive producer is Gen Fukunaga. Tokyo Ghoul follows Ken Kaneki, a shy, bookish college student, who is instantly drawn to Rize Kamishiro, an avid reader like himself. However, Rize is not exactly who she seems, and this unfortunate meeting pushes Kaneki into the dark depths of the ghouls' inhuman world. In a twist of fate, Kaneki is saved by the enigmatic waitress Touka Kirishima, and thus begins his new, secret life as a half-ghoul/half-human who must find a way to integrate into both societies. Tokyo Ghoul is a completed series but it can still be viewed on Hulu.

I think Vice Principles is a good television program for many reasons. One of those reasons is the great cast the show features, including Danny Mcbride. Also the creators of the show feature some of the same creators of 'Eastbound and Down', which is , to me personally, one of the funniest shows I've come across.

Hannibal is an American psychological horror show created by Bryan Fuller. It originally aired from 2013-15 on NBC. The series is based on a collection of novels by Thomas Harris, including Red Dragon, Hannibal, and Hannibal Rising. The show follows FBI special investigator Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and his ever-evolving relationship with renowned psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen.) Also along for the ride are Will's boss Jack Crawford (Lawrence Fishburne) and the rest of his team in the FBI's Behavioral Sciences unit. The events of Hannibal are a prequel to the well known film (and another Harris novel) The Silence of the Lambs. Initially recruited to investigate a serial killer in Minnesota, Will is put under psychological supervision by Dr. Lecter, who is fascinated by Will's ability to fully empathize with killers. Lecter, who is secretly a cannibalistic serial killer in his own right, starts to manipulate the FBI from within, all the while driving Will to potentially become a killer himself.

Last Chance U is a 2016 documentary series produced by Netflix showcasing the 2015 American football season for east Mississippi community college. The series was released worldwide on July 29, 2016. Netflix has renewed for a second season the EMCC Lions, coach Buddy Stephens, and academic advisor Brittany Wagner.
