Aired in Spring 2011, under Manglobe Studios, Deadman Wonderland was based off of its manga that was previously published. What seems to start off as a normal day for high school student, Ganta Igarashi, quickly turns upside down when a mysterious man in red massacres his entire classroom. He then gets framed, and convicted as the murderer. He is then sent to an amusement park-themed jail facility, where he must compete in degrading carnival games in order to win & survive. He also discovers he has enigmatic powers that he utilizes in order to clear his name from Deadman Wonderland.
