Red Oaks revolves around NYU film school student David in the summer of 1985 who is going through the transition between senior year of high school and his start at the NYU film school. In between said transition he is able to score a summer job at the Red Oaks Country Club in New Jersey as a assistant tennis pro. Which comes with an array of quirky and interesting clientele and coworkers. Each and every one of the characters having a hand in trying and helping David makes his directing dream a reality. While his father wants him to buckle down and work at his financing firm as it is a more viable career to lean towards. Along with many personal problem surrounding his relationship with the aerobics instructor and his eye wandering to the daughter of one of the club's founding members. David has many decisions to make with very little time on the clock. Summer isn't infinite and David soon needs to make his mind up on what his future will look like.
