Altered Carbon is a Netflix Original series that premiered on February 2, 2018. It is set in the 25th century where consciousness can be downloaded, digitized, and stored in small objects called stacks. Once this technology was discovered, this allowed some humans to become immortal, escaping physical death. If one desired, they could be "re-sleeved" into another body completely. This particular season follows Takeshi Kovacs, once an elite warrior known as an Envoy.
