Thousands of years in the future following a mysterious phenomenon that turned all of humanity into stone, an extraordinarily intelligent young man named Senku Ishigami awakens determined to rebuild the world using the power of science. The Earth that humanity once roamed has laid dormant and uninhabited for several millennia, making way for nature to take over once again. Senku and his friends must work together to restore humanity, as well as rebuild their lost way of life. However, this task will not be easy, as not long after Senku awakens, many humans oppose their old ways of life and reject Senku's ideology to rebuild civilization to its old glory. Senku is forced to make a decision: To compromise and build a new world or fight for his ideals to bring the civilization of the past to the present day.
