James May: Our Man in Japan is a comedic and educational six-episode travel miniseries on Amazon Prime Video. Our host, James May of Top Gear fame, shares glimpses into parts of Japan's hidden histories and contemporary culture as he takes us from the northern island of Hokkaido all the way to the southern Kyushu. Each 50-minute episode focuses on a different region of Japan, with May bringing his respectful curiosity and dry British wit to national mainstays and lesser-known gems alike. This eclectic journey introduces us to a wide cast of characters including chaotic tour guides, traditional swordsmiths, subway train enthusiasts, haiku masters, gundams, geishas, and more.
