Luffy, a boy whose body has transformed into rubber following his consumption of a rare superpower granting fruit called "devil fruit", and his pirate crew the "Straw Hat Pirates" on his quest to become the king of the pirates. Although the Straw-Hats have sworn their loyalty and life to luffy each member also has their own personal ambition and reason for being apart of the crew. the Straw-Hats spend the story sailing an uncharted sea called the Grand line also known as the "pirates grave yard" in search of the final island where the former pirate king Gol D.
