Black Jesus is an American comedy series created by Mike Clattenburg and Aaron McGruder, the creator of The Boondocks. The scripted live-action comedy features Gerald Johnson as Jesus Christ living in modern day Compton, on a mission to spread love and kindness throughout the neighborhood with his small group of followers. Throughout the series, Black Jesus uses various miracles to get him and his crew out of all sorts of trouble.
