Humans is a British-American science fiction television series which debuted during the summer of 2015. Written and by the British team Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley, both of whom are also executive producers, the show is based on the award-winning Swedish science fiction drama Real Humans, the series explores the themes of artificial intelligence and robotics, focusing on the social, cultural, and psychological impact of the invention of anthropomorphic robots called "synths". Humans forces the viewer to confront the issue of true artificial intelligence, and what rights and recognition we need to afford them, while also adding in drama and intrigue to keep the audience hooked. The series is produced jointly by AMC, Channel 4 (In Britain), and Kudos Film and Television.
