Dope Sick is a Hulu docuseries that focuses on how the specific drug Oxycotin and the company that manufactured it (Purdue Pharma) were key contributors in our nation's opioid crisis. The series covers multiple aspects of controversy with roles of the series consisting of everyone from Federal Agents, executives of the FDA, the executive board of Purdue Pharma, and even the people that fell victims of this drug harmful addiction rate. The show goes over how the drug became itself within the corporate office and how the executives did everything in their control to allow the production of a drug just as harmful as other illegal opioids like Heroine, and the steps they took to make sure it was readily available for multiple Americans- additionally it covers the harm the drug did to our nation.
