Black Summer is a Netflix original that was released in 2019. A spin-off of Z Nation, the show focuses a couple of weeks after a zombie apocalypse breaks out and begins following a mother, Rose in search of her daughter, Anna, after getting separated. She is forced to embark on a dangerous journey with a ragtag team of strangers who are only looking to survive and finding lost loved ones. The show is short and is an excellent watch with other people. The show is very diverse and is still able to highlights problems with the country in a post-apocalyptic setting. All the characters are forced to face their problems with each other and find their means of survival in a newly hostile world on possibly the most dangerous summer of their life.
