Despite having very minimal experience in the sport, he enrolls at Karasuno High School to follow in the footsteps of his biggest inspiration, The Tiny Giant. Karasuno's volleyball club has fallen off since the era of The Tiny Giant. They have gained the nickname "The Wingless Crows" in reference to their mascot. As we watch the team's journey to regain their former reputation as national contenders, we fall in love with each member of the team and dive into their backstories. Including Tobio Kageyama, who (despite initially hating Hinata), becomes a key part to Hinata's success on the court. This underdog story brings an unmatchable energy and passion to the sport of volleyball and the players who fight for their spot on the court.
